My son had a long hospital stay and I planned on sleeping in his room. So glad I bought this because the couch I was going to sleep on was not the most comfortable, and this mattress topper helped me sleep so much better. If you've ever slept in a hospital you know it's the complete opposite of home. Nurses are coming in at all hours, hallway lights are on and the windows don't block out the light, and the noise of all the machines and doors don't let you sleep through the night. Being comfortable with this topper made my sleep so much better. It came vacuum packed in a box which definitely cannot be used to pack up when we go home. But luckily the topper will fold up and I can wrap it with packing tape. There was no chemical smell when I opened it. In just a few minutes of it laying flat, the topper expanded to full size. I am extremely pleased with this item. It's at a great price and after I'm done with it in the hospital, I'll end up adding it to my child's bed at home.

I know my mattress needs to be replaced, but thought I could extend it with this pad. Wow, what a difference! Although the package indicated a 48-72 hour "breathing" and expansion period, mine was ready in about 7 hours. The eggshell design really does provide better support and comfort than my previous (flat) memory foam mattress topper.

The outer & inner plastic wraps are the same color, so be very careful unwrapping it. Once the outer wrap is removed, unroll it into a flat surface so it can plump up.I barely detected any odor & it wasn't lavender. But the color is attractive. It is flat as a pancake at first. Don't despair! In less than 24 hours it puffs up to 1½ inches (measured at the top of the peaks). It is fantastically comfortable & provides just enough cushioning so my body's bony prominences are well padded. I have mild tenderness over the trochanters & side sleeping hurt, but no more. It's just a nice deep cushion over my firm coil spring mattress.I researched hybrid mattresses before ordering this & saw they used mullti-layered construction but only a very thin memory foam top layer (¾ to 1 inch) so felt confident only a thin topper is needed if you are looking for comfort. Those who need additional support probably need a much thicker layer.This topper is a great value.

Not bad

Needed a topper for a particularly hard mattress. This didn’t need the entire 24hrs, I didn’t find any particularly harsh smells or off-gassing present when I opened the package. It puffed up and was ready to use that same night. It’s a great addition to any mattress. Very happy with the overall quality and price point.

Definitely a game changer for our memory foam bed. Without it the bed was very firm but this makes it so much better. Super cozy. Worth the price.

The media could not be loaded. (Hello— update 1/24/2025) — Taking my 4 stars down to 3. It sinks in, in the middle area. As in, stomach and butt. So my feet are higher up than my torso and my head. It’s weird. My mattress is very firm so it’s like, how does this even happen. But it makes stomach and side sleeping very uncomfortable. Back sleeping this topper is great. So if you only back sleep, you will probably love it. I just can’t confidently say it’s right for me long term. Short term, it has helped until Im ready for a new mattress purchase. Definitely comfy sitting in the bed watching tv though.Original Review:1. Lavender smell is nice. Not too much, not too overwhelming.2. Egg carton feel is a bit more than I anticipated or wanted. Even through another mattress topper cover and sheets, you can feel the tops of the egg carton with your hands and back. Not a deal breaker. I’ve just never had one of these before so it’s different lol.3. It is very soft and gel like. Springs back up nicely from your handprint. It made our firm 8” mattress much better. Makes it feel like you are in a big hotel bed. The 3” is accurate & the gel topper was instantly the size it was supposed to be in under 5 mins after unrolling out of the package.4. The Queen size fits our Queen size mattress perfectly. And went in our mattress protector just fine. We tried our best not to pull or scratch or tear the gel topper at all while we put the protector and topper cover on. Worked perfect.

Great price and good comfort, definitely was difficult to open, but great product regardless
