broke my standup ironing board in recent move to smaller place. saw this and thought to give it a try. just love it! i can iron on my bed when getting dressed, move it to sewing room when I sew. no problems with anything melting or scorching of stuff underneath.

I love the mat, it is the right size for my ironing cart. However the steam goes through and makes the top really wet. I would not put on my dinning table!

Between this mat and my cordless iron I can reach the wrinkles on my quilt top.

It's not thick enough to keep the heat off the table underneath. I've warped two places on my plastic table and ruined an expensive cutting mat because I trusted the description. I am so glad I wasn't on top of a wood table, that could have been a disaster. I have to fold it in half to safely use. Unfortunately, I didn't find all this out till it was too late to return.

this ironing mat is so handy. i use it everyday. i wish the iron pad itself wasn't on it. it kinda gets in the way. otherwise this is a great invention!

I wanted a large portable iron surface for my sewing. I bought two and now I have plenty of space to sandwich my quilts before quilting. Foam backing. Be sure to place tin foil or a impervious cover over a wood service as it will sweat during use.

I love this feature that it can be folded and take no place. It was my only reason to buy it rather than traditional Ironing tables.

The silicon mat is grey and not white like in the picture, which is too bad, but otherwise I am really liking the product. It looks beautiful and well made on the top. I am giving it 5 stars for this. Quite happy with the product.Follow up: washed it in the washing machine in cold water and the backside did not respond well to it. Wondering if I should add some fabric. It feels like it will get worse.
