ODYSSEY C45200 Carpeted Case for 45 Rpm Vinyl Records with Surface Mount Hardware, Black

Great case at a fair price.I couldn't be happier with this purchase,it's well built, extremely sturdy and holds way more than 200 7" / 45's as advertised. I estimate 300 - 350 (fits 45's, 7", RSD 7" editions & double RSD 45's).I used Leonard Breunig's tip for theanti-skid pads on the bottom workedgreat & only took 4 minutes.As for the reviews I read about the locking latches not lining up, I had no problems anyone who runs into this problem, should 1st check the hinges on the lid to makesure that they are properly aligned (since they are removable hinges) if they are not aligned when you close the lid, the latch will not line up.As for the comments about the materialattracting dust / lint, I use the furniture attachment on the vacuum cleaner tokeep it clean.I also see some people writing about anodor from the glue, mine arrived with avery mild glue smell, but a few laundrydryer sheets made quick work of that.I will definitely look to buy the same casewhen I finish filling this one.Update:I noticed every time I went to move the case, I kept finding myself reaching to the sides to pick it up, so I found some spring-loaded handles on amazon and they worked out perfectly.

Box is sturdy and rather heavy. When filled with records you wouldn't want to carry it too far. As others have pointed out the screws on the bottom will damage anything you rest the box on. This is easy to fix (see photos) and the manufacturer should have done so themselves. You can purchase some Everbilt Anti-Skid pads, I got mine at the Home Depot for $2.48. Mount these under the screws and problem solved. You will want to use the original screws as the screws that come with the pads will go right through to the inside of the box.One other issue, and others have pointed this out also is the material on the box attracts everything, hair, lint, you name it. It would be nice if they offered this in a variety of coverings, or at least different colors.Good overall product, keeps my 45's neat and organized. With a little tweaking could be excellent.

This is a heavy duty case! Very well made. Other reviewers mentioned it holds more 45s than expected. I estimate it holds 390 7” 45 rpm records with no sleeves. If you have sleeves it will hold much fewer. There are three separated carpeted compartments with sturdy dividing walls. The latches are easy to open and close and they seem very solid. I’m pleased to have my records all together in one safe place. There is an odd smell from the glue or the carpet material but it didn’t bother me. If you are sensitive to odors it might be an issue though.

Cut some notebook page index separators to size and locate your records quickly. I put P-touch labels on the tabs. Example A - F . More time listening instead of looking.

I have a couple different Odyssey cases. They are really well built and they are perfectly engineered for holding your records. The tops are removable so that you can use them for display or storage. I highly recommend this company if you are looking for a portable storage system for your records. If you don't plan on moving them often, these cases look nice enough to display in your home.

At first I thought it looked sort of small. But it holds more than 200 45’s. So I’m happy. Well worth it. I’ll have to look into the rubber feet that others have mentioned. It also has a distinct smell to it. I’m letting it air out before I completely fill it up with records.

I just ordered this case and thought I wouldn't see it until after the holidays. It arrived this morning only a couple of days after I placed the order! It is a very sturdy case with good fit and finish. I'm looking forward to getting it loaded up with many decades of my music. A great upgrade from the cardboard boxes they have been in for 30 years.

Picture shows grey felt and interior has dividers . mounting hardware ? is this to be included. I received mine today andone lock or bracket is miss aligned and has NO dividers . miss leading . Thanks Rick G.

Solid case.... but it does contains lot more than 200...... I would have bought only one if I would have known.
