Bought this lamp for the guest room. Its ok. I am not crazy about the shade. It has a yellow tint to it. But the base is great.

This lamp fits well into a variety of decorating styles, because it is quite simple, but it strikes me most as a "rustic style." It's not the best made lamp in the world, but it's also not the most expensive lamp in the world. It could use a little more weight to make it stable, as it's easily knocked over by a little bump. I agree with the others who were not crazy about the shade that came with it, which was a cheap hardback that had blotchy yellow on it. I replaced the shade with an Aspen Creative 30092 Transitional, which I will link below, and I like it better. We bought two of these good lamps for nightstands on each side of the bed. They replaced the same style (but wooden) lamps that had been there 20+ years. One had broken in a "cleaning mishap" and the wood-glue repair left it a little weak when you tugged on the on/off chain. These metal lamps are a VERY GOOD upgrade -- just what we wanted. They are simple, good looking, sturdy and will last even longer than the wooden ones have. I would certainly recommend.

I received this lamp as a gift, and without knowing where it came from [or receiving a gift slip], I have had a terrible time updating it for my dining room. I had hoped for a buffet lamp, or pair, to put on my new server. This lamp is okay [not at all my taste], but strangely matched. The iron base is very farmhouse-country [especially with a pull string], and the ill-fitting paper shade cheapens it. The shade came with a huge crease on one side, and since it could not be returned, I had to creatively position it so the cord and the crease did not show. The hardware that holds the shade is not a standard size, either, so I haven't been able to find a modern [or colorful] shade that will fit. I have purchased and returned several fixes and since given up -- it's going in the guest room.

Nice lamp for the price, super long chain, but BEWARE it doesn't come with a shade, kind of ridiculous especially when they show it with one!

I have a small guest bedroom and these fit perfectly! They are skinny, take very little space, are extremely well made, packed really well and super fast delivery. All parts attach smoothly like butter, there is a dent on the base to accommodate the electric cord and the electric cord itself is black (instead of that hideous transparent yellow). The off white colored lampshades are equally nice. I'm very happy with this purchase.
