MTD 731-10069D Hood Pivot Bracket

Direct fit to replace broken hood latch on my Cub Cadet XT1 50". Easily use a 5/16" socket to remove the old screw (does not come with a new one), slide on the new one (with a little help from a rubber mallet - gently), reinstall screw and pop the hood into the holder. Simple.Since these are a weak point for this mower i will be buying another to keep on hand, at $12 why not!

Delivery was a day later than originally expected, but no big deal. Fit was exact, no issues. Replaced the broken piece in less than 15 minutes mostly due to access created by assembly/design of my MTD/Cadet mower, 24hp, 50 inch deck.Exact replacement. Highly recommended

Perfect fit, no problems with installing it.

Fits well but the screw is in an obscure place. Could not tighten down holding screw very tightly. That’s the only reason for 4 star and it’s not really the fault of the part, it’s the engineer that designed the mower. Cub cadet xt1 46 in mower with 22jo kohler engine.

Because it’s a hard mold it will require a few taps from a rubber mallet or a few soft taps from a hammer once in place. Only requires a few screws and is easily done if you take off the hood of your mower. It came as a pair and therefore I replaced both sides.
