FABRIQ Portable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Smart Speaker with Amazon Alexa (Blue Steel)

I purchased two maybe 2 years ago now. It could be slightly longer. Both speakers work well. After one year, only one will not last on the battery. The second one is like brand new. I use them in my garage, and on my deck. Good sound . I have to figure out how to change the battery on one. I wish there was a version you could speak to like Alexa but on battery power. This speaker you always have to push the microphone to get Alexa to function. It was a good purchase.

Initially, I thought this was a 3 star product. The sound quality was fair, battery life was short, but it worked.Then, I needed to connect it to my new router. Instructions to do that are non-existant, so I ended up resetting it to factory settings. Once I did that I got stuck in an endless loop of error messages trying to connect to my new wifi. I had done this before with no issue, so not sure what was different now.I reached out to Fabriq for support. After about a week I got an email asking for a video of what I was doing. Really? I gave you all the details of what I did and included a screen shot of the error on my phone. When I responded asking for clarity on what they needed to troubleshoot, I got no response. That was two weeks ago.Now, I'm stuck using this in bluetooth mode attached to my phone. And, looking for a replacement product.

So let me start out by saying this little smart speak is amazing! The sound quality is 100x better than the echo dot. I had no issues setting it up by following the directions in order. I actually purchased 2 of these and the both were easy to set up and once I linked my fabriq account with alexa they both appeared in my alexa app

It's a good speaker, but it just doesn't hold a charge.

I use this Bluetooth speaker out on the deck as I read my paper and do crossword puzzles. Alexa is responsive. The only drawback is that one has to push the button for her to respond, but it is less than half the price. I love saying, "Alexa, play such and such from John's Pandora or from Amazon Music. It is easy to set up and connect to one's Wifi and coordinate with Echo and Alexa.

The sound quality is wonderful. The battery lasts longer than you'd expect and it's durable. Just don't get it wet cause then it'll have a staticky effect until it dries out.

I got this as a gift for my daughter for Christmas. She loves it. The color was so cool.

This product has to be real close to the wifi or unit in order for it to work.I did not get to open it up sooner, because of being ill. Now to late to return for a better range one.
