Q: How often should I apply this?

If the weather is particularly wet and muddy and you ride every day then I would give my chain a clean and apply the lube once every couple of weeks. I get away with doing it once every month or two though :)

Q: I live near boise, idaho, and i've found that summers are dry and dusty and winters are cold and wetter. would this be a good year round lube?

I don’ know. I ride in dry weather and it never gets cold in Southern California.

Q: Will it work as a gate chain oil?

I am not sure what a "gate chain" is, BUT if it is a chain, this oil should work well to keep it lubricated.

Q: Does anybody know if it's flammable??
