Guest Medical Haz-Tab granules are used for the effective disinfection and disposal of blood and blood stained body fluid spillages. Traditionally, blood or blood stained body fluid spills were treated with liquid hypochlorite and mopped up with paper towels. However, this only spread the spill further and wet towels will drip when handled. This method is particularly dangerous if broken glass is present in the spill. Further, hypochlorite is inactivated by material, and hence is less effective as a disinfectant for spills of body fluids. Haz-Tab granules will absorb the spill, (thus effectively containing it) and at the same time release chlorine to disinfect it. Haz-Tab granules are proven effective against bacteria, fungi and viruses.
