Sturdy but RUST within days of putting them in the ground.
I have about 20 or so that I had picked up at B&Q that are still rust free two years now. These literally start rusting within days. All of the pegs I've put down if I pull them up have rust where they contact the soil. I'm using them to hold down prickle strips to keep the cats out of the garden areas until I have plants down so I pull up the pegs here and there. I suppose if you were using this to hold down cloth that are then covered with stones or something where you won't be pulling it up maybe its fine, assuming you don't mind rusting pegs.

Good quality metal garden pegs
I’ve tried both the straight plastic pegs and now these metal U-shaped ones for holding in place garden fleece when landscaping. I found these metal ones by far the best of the two. Strong and easy to push into the ground, they really hold their position well and keep the fleece securely in place. 100 pegs for under a tenner is a good price too, with plenty to go around, so no need to scrimp when using them.

BUY MORE THAN YOU THINK YOU NEED
We have spent much of our cover-19 lockdown time in the garden and have put down new pea gravel on our vegetable patch walkways and lifted the old chippings and weed blanket. Having caught edges of weed blanket in the past with the rake, we wanted to make sure that the new blanket stayed securely pegged . We have, in the past used a plastic peg and had much frustration in snapping many of them in our hard clay and rocky soil. The Garden Prime pegs we have tried have been fantastic. Their sharpened ends easily pierce the weed blankets (even multiple layers of the stuff) and are robust enough to be tapped into the ground. In order to prevent lifting or edges being caught with a rake, we have been generous with the pinning and soon ran out of the initial 100 pins we ordered, thankfully the second batch we ordered arrived quickly and we have now been able to complete the project. Amazingly apart from bending 3-4 of the pins (which can be reused after straightening) all of the pins have managed to find their way into the ground where they are holding in solidly, none have broken or snapped We have been very impressed with the product and swift delivery. My only advice would be to err on the side of caution and order more than you think you might initially need... you only want to do this job once, so do it right the first time. Happy gardening.

Best pegs you can buy
These pegs are excellent and the best on the market.I have also brought the black plastic ones and found these the best option when using to secure membrane in the allotment. They are really nice and sharp so slide through the soil like butter but hold everything in place very well. Also very easy to pull out without getting caught.I'll also be using to use as anchors for a chicken coop and the anchor chicken wire to fox proofFast delivery, highly recommended

A life-saver!
These pegs are brilliant! I initially bought them to use for securing weed-prevention membrane, since the plastic pegs provided have spikes on their shaft, which are impossible to reposition and sometimes too thick to penetrate turf or heavy soil. Not these - they easily go through 2 layers of membrane and if you do get the odd kink and need to reposition the matting, just pull them out and start again. They are also a decent length, so are unlikely to be dislodged and I have therefore used them to further secure my large garden cloche to the ground and give it extra stability. I wish I had found these when I was laying copious lengths membrane in my garden during the Spring!

Sturdy and unobtrusive
These are heavy-duty garden pegs.....usually used to anchor membranes over vegetable patches. However, I use them to anchor power cables and the associated yellow warning strips underground. (The power cables must be armoured if they are underground and at risk of being hit by a shovel). Being black, the pegs they don't show up against the earth and they are usually sturdy enough to penetrate even the hardest soil. With stones we have found that feeding them in by hand to "wriggle" into a smooth path is best, then hitting with a hammer usually ensures success. Should they hit a stone and bend they can usually be straightened and reused. All-in-all, a very good product at a good price.

Excellent staples.
Excellent staples. Arrived well packaged in a thick plastic closeable bag inside a bubble wrap bag! Great for storage.Push into earth easily without bending due to good sharp ends. Strong enough to withstand being hit with a rubber mallet on tougher soils. Using to pin down fleece on tender plants. But, I would imagine, good for weed control fabric, fake grass base etc.Overall very pleased with my purchase. Would recommend.

Easy to use
I bought for fastening down ground cover sheets. The sharp points made them easy to get into the ground - far easier than the plastic pegs I have used in the past. They do seem to start rusting after a few days, but they are covered by gravel, which in its turn weighs down the ground cover, so they are fine for their intended use. I will use this brand again in the future as they were a very good price.
