Not Just for Jewelry Makers, but a Great Kit for Jewelry *Breakers*, Like Me!
First of all, I am *not* a jewelry maker. I'm not even a beginner jewelry maker. In fact, I'm a jewelry *breaker* - I bought this kit because one of my favourite necklaces had a jump ring break, and I was bereft, and wanted to fix it.Now, one of the first things I came across in my Amazon search were the jump ring openers, like thisย Beadsmith Jump Ring Opening and Closing Tool For Jewelry Makers ย and thisย JSP Jump Ring Opener . They seemed pretty nifty, but I knew I was going to need other tools (like, little pliers and stuff). Also, the Beadsmith jump ring opener (which is highly rated) is an add-on item. The JSP one (which is also highly rated, but across fewer reviews) is also highly rated, but a bit more expensive at just north of $6.00. So, I figured I'd find a jewelry making/repairing kit, and then do the add-on or, if the kit wasn't enough to push me into add-on land, I'd buy the one from JSP.Then I started looking at the various kits. And this kit here was by far the best value for what you get with it..and that's when I noticed...*it includes a jump ring opener!! Huzzah! To be safe (in case I couldn't reuse the broken jump ring) I also purchased a set of jump rings. I ordered this set:ย LolliBeads Jump Rings , because it not only includes jump rings in gold, silver, *and* bronze, but it also includes matching lobster clasps in all three colours! (Flashback to Ross telling Rachel that he's her lobster!)Well, I am thrilled to say that my favourite (well, one of) necklace was easily repaired using the jump ring ring, and the original jump ring, and I couldn't be more pleased with this little kit!By the way, I have no idea what the little velvet pouch that comes with it is for, but the little box of jump rings and lobster clasps fits *perfectly* in it!

Helpful kit!
I'm in love with this little tool kit! I bought it not for jewelry repair necessarily (although I'm sure that need will arise eventually), but rather for those little odd 'n end jobs that you can never seem to find the right sized small tools for. I used one of the small needle tools the other day, for example, to clean out the washer fluid nozzles on the hood of my car. Worked like a charm.

Sturdy, sharp, tools. Good follow up. Thanks!
I haven't had a chance to use it yet. But it was shipped quickly and follow up was great! The tools look sturdy and well made. There are plenty of them too. Plus a little velveteen bag along with the case. I'm quite happy. Thank You!

Wasn't what I intended to order, but I did ...
Wasn't what I intended to order, but I did order it. Not sure how much I'll use it as I was really just looking for a means to repair my own jewelry when it breaks, not to make jewelry. But it seems to be a very comprehensive set of tools.

Pleased with the quality
I purchased this kit after buying and returning a kit to one of the chain craft stores. The reason for the return was that the handles were a cheap plastic, one of which was already broken when I opened the package. So, I went on Amazon and found this kit, which I have now used to make two necklaces. The quality is much better. I am new to jewelry making, but this kit fits my needs.

Love it!
Just what I imagined and perfect for travel too. I gave 4 stars because there are not enough places to hold each item inside, and the hook is too long for the pouch and sticks through it.

For beginners
This set is for beginners. The tips of the pliers are scraping off, but still functional. Will probably replace later on, but if you are just starting out this is a great set of tools.

The tools seem to be fine ...
I have never made jewelry ... However, I was hoping to repair a favorite single earring, thought it would be simple enough. Don't take it out on the tools .... I say operator error.
