It works ok
The trim buttons are small. I’ve just noticed that something has gone wrong with the way it’s mounted, I’m not sure yet what. It started out working great but now something has came loose and i can’t push the center button in for neutral high idle. I’ll get back to you after investigation.

Don’t buy this
I am a cheap penny pincher. I am assuming you are too if ordering parts for a 20+yo outboard. Best case scenario it works/fits and all is good. Worst case scenario it doesn’t fit, when beating out control arm your brittle plastic in controller snaps off neutral safety start switch. Now you spend another hr trying to figure out what went wrong. Just cut wire to trim switch and mount a trim switch on console. 3 wires color coded. 5minute fix and 20$

Red Lever Insert NOT included!
"Trim Switch Conversion Kit includes 0126133 (Red Lever insert)" It does NOT include "Red Lever Insert" I spoke with LEADERS RPM and they have tried to get Amazon to correct the listing several times and they won't. The guy at LEADERS was very helpful and has looked inside several boxes and the red lever is not included nor is it listed on BRP's documents. Fix your listing Amazon.

Yes it works but It's sad that this overpriced item is currently the only option to repair a non-functioning switch in a side-mount control for 1996 & newer outboards. What makes it overpriced is the inclusion of 2 Deutsch connectors in the kit. These are very expensive and probably cost as much as the rest of the kit. A 5-cent pin extractor to remove the wires from your old harness would make much more sense.Even better would be to make the original replacement switch available again.
