Beautiful sturdy bookcases
I love love love these bookshelves! I’ve ordered 4 of the 6 shelf and 4 of the 3 shelf to stack ontop! (Don’t worry they’re secured to each other and the wall) these bookcases and very sturdy and come together beautifully. I ordered in black and love that they still have that wood grain look and not a flat color. They’re made of wood and are actually quite heavy for what they are. I haven’t had any issues with damage over the years of use and they hold a lot of weight. Overall I’d say they’re 100% worth the money. A little more expensive than some but much cheaper than most.

You Will Love This Classy Well Designed High Quality Bookcase!
Putting together your own bookcase is interesting and normally I have someone else put together furniture. This time I wanted to surprise my husband by getting everything done by myself.I'm over 55 so this was a little more effort because I had to sit and rest in between exertions. First you have to get everything out of the box and then you have to use a screw driver and Allen wrench to put the bookcase together. Frankly I found the instructions easy to follow and all the items needed were well labeled in little bags. Yes they actually include a screw driver and Allen wrench which was very helpful! One person can put this together by themselves but two people would make it slightly easier. The pieces of wood were perfectly packaged so there was no damage. I used those "moving men" sliders to move the heavy about 40 pound box into the living room and then I used them again to move the whole bookcase into the office. The one thing I didn't have was the hammer they suggested using to knock in the little feet for the bottom of the shelves. I used my regular hammer which I put two napkins over and fastened it all with some packaging tape. That worked. I take no responsibility for you if it doesn't work for you. :) For me it was an easy solution and I didn't have to buy a second softer hammer. So yes, I'm very happy with this and now I put about 93 books on the shelves and it is holding up well and I'm pleased to have my own little library of books to read in my office.~The Rebecca Review

Nice bookcase, no bad smell, will be handy!
Pretty decent shelves, altho not deep. There were stickers on certain parts, but they came off very easily. It's fairly simple to put together (although does take some time), and it's sturdy. However, it does need securing if you have a little person in your house. The problem is the lack of depth, and if you have carpeting, it really isn't 100% safe without securing to the wall. We have floor molding (like short wainscotting), so couldn't use the brackets. Inside, we used a thick fabric belt-like cord from a luggage tie. Nailed one end to the top of the shelves and screwed (with those flanged screws) the other end to the wall. Definitely secure. One last note: I had asked reviewers if this bookshelf had any residual smell from its engineered wood. I was told by several helpful customers that it didn't. They were 100% correct, and because of them, I purchased it. So thank you to those who responded.

Seems to be a Sturdy Bookshelf
This is a good bookshelf. Seems to be sturdy. Assembly instructions were fairly good; all pictures with no narrative. All the holes were where they were supposed to be. They sent extra screws, toggles, etc. in case something got lost, which I appreciated. Each piece was clearly labeled and matched the instructions.

Sturdy, Easy to Assemble, and Holds a Ton of Books!
I’ve had this bookshelf for almost a year, and saying it has held up well would be an understatement. It currently supports over 200 heavy books without leaning, wobbling, or showing any signs of wear. The assembly was quick and simple, which made the whole process stress-free. Overall, it’s a sturdy, reliable bookshelf that I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for quality and durability!

Just what I needed + assembly notes
Exactly what I expected when I ordered, since I rely on melamine pieces for my laundry, studio, home office and this utility closet tucked in under the stairs — inexpensive, sturdy, quick to construct, very practical and easy to keep clean. The Allen wrench is included, but note you’ll need that specific bit if you want to use a drill — which makes everything quick! Just don’t drill to fast or you’ll push right through the fiberboards. I finished in about 20 minutes, but then I’ve done a lot of this. It was nice to find that they included 1-2 extra of each type of hardware, though luckily didn’t need any of it as the screw heads didn’t strip or anything else fail.Note that the screws are visible on each side and no solution provided by the manufacturer, so I covered mine with some thick white sticky dots from a previous piece; you could also just fill and paint them or even pop on a white mailing label cut to size! I can’t stand them, even in a utility closet. :-)A hammer isn’t listed in the instructions, but you’ll need it to tap in the bottom feet. Also, if you’re like me and don’t want the huge, obnoxious stickers threatening you to screw this thing to your wall (I don’t have pets or children, or climb on furniture myself), just use a hair dryer to warm it up for a minute and they will peel off without leaving residue; I also had to do this with the lettered stickers identifying each part as they tried to leave glue behind. There are three positions drilled for each of the two shelves so they can be adjusted even after assembly, and I appreciate the metal pegs rather than the breakable plastic pegs that come with my older pieces. Also, I really like the new type of backing - the accordion-folded, coated cardboard slides into a slot rather than having to carefully hammer it to the back with teeny tiny nails I could never hold or, worse, those plastic-headed tacks where the nail always bent or broke through the plastic - worst part of putting together the old pieces! And don’t skip the little plastic braces - they keep the backing nice and tight, and less likely to be bent or broken if you push something a bit too far onto the shelves.Anyhoo, if you have realistic expectations and don’t manhandle it while doing the construction, I think you’ll also be satisfied with this bookshelf. I wouldn’t hesitate to order another one if the need arises.

Easy and perfect
Easy to put together, it even came with a little screwdriver! It is exactly what I wanted. It's actually quite heavy as well, it feels quite sturdy. Great buy!
