These work great on Mastercraft doors from Menards that are not mortised.

Pretty pricey for what this is. I tried calling Kwikset and seeing if I can order directly from them. They said no and would not send out a new one like other suggested. But, it's exactly what I nee. Deadlock with a collar that would fit on a kwikset lock.

Had to change a new lock set to work on a Trailor house door. internals were not the right one, ordered and had the new internals installed a few days later. They fit and work great

Too bad the deadbolts from Kwikset I bought originally did not have that non-mortised adapter.I bought these as replacements and they worked great.

I only used the deadbolt part as the door jam is metal and strike plates could interfere if used in existing hole with anything in the way. I might adjust that later. But the deadbolt itself was the key instrumental piece to allow installation with mobile home conversion of a standard KwikSet deadbolt.

I replaced my old one because the motor on my smartlock turned too slowly and applied too little torque resulting in the deadbolt getting stuck. Replacing original deadbolt with this product led to smooth and consistent smartlock operation.

I bought a new door from the green big box stores and it came with only a circular hole for the deadbolt, no mortise for the typical plate. This fit nicely so I didn't have to chisel the brand new door.
