Works for 6cyl 02 Trailblazer
Yeah so I had this same issue with the bushing that keeps the shift cable attached to the shift lever mechanism broke and allowed the cable to fall off. I was stuck in Reverse and my shift lever did nothing. And of course with it in reverse, there is no starting and no moving it. After scouring the internet, and trouble shooting the various issues around the shift lever mechanism.. and on visual inspection, I narrowed it down to this part. Reading these reviews, it's not even particularly clear if this is the correct part or not... Well, for me it was the correct part. Consequently it may be a misapplication of parts, for those who thought it was wrong. My need was for the 'orange' pieces.. plural. To start with, you have the larger cylindrical bushing with a round end 'O' and one end with a flat washer like end. The way I've done it is to smoosh the O end through the cable ending making sure to get the little seal seated in (big flat lip end on the outside). Then that O ending over the shifter peg (you want to make sure to fully remove the previous bushing so you have a bare metal piece). So now you have the cable placed on the shifter peg running through the orange bushing, and it seems loose. To finish you press the 'pin' like orange piece through the flat back of the O bushing you see on the outside of the cable. Then you want to use a broadly set pair pliers (channel locks set wide) to pinch it all together. So full disclaimer, I'm no mechanic. I can't promise this is correct, but it's kinda where everything I found lead me. I've only just put this on, it took me less than 20mins.. and we'll just have to see how this installation pans out over time. Maybe at the least this gives people something to work from. Hope this Helps!

Complete garbage
This was a complete waste of money.First bushing tore while installing into the cable.Second attempt with the other bushing, it went into the cable easily and then the next problem popped up. The bushing is ever so slightly off in size. It wouldn't stay on the pin no matter what I did.Now this is an incredibly simple thing to install, I've done it many times with other brands of bushing and never had this issues I did with these. So overall I don't recommend them, they were a waste of my time and money. Ended up going to AutoZone to get a better quality and fit. These are not with the $4 savings and "convenience" of delivery.

Great fit.
This was an exact match for my 2001 cavalier. The only problem I had was reaching in the tight spot of the engine to install it.

Red Hound Auto Automatic Transmission Shift Linkage Cable Bushings Compatible with Chevy (Cavalier
A great concept the part that goes into the shifting bushing worked fine but the part that slides over the lever where the nipple is needed to be a small couldn't get it to seat right used a vise grip and was carefully pushed on it making sure I did not pinch the small piece that pushed through the fitting if that part was a little bit smaller would have worked great.

Does what it is supposed to do
As there are no instructions included, I had to figure it out. 2008 Trailblazer SS.I struggled for 30’ trying to get the clear piece in. Tried everything…pliers/grease/clamps… y tried to pul it in with fishing line (yes, I tried!!!)Then tried the orange part… done in one minute. Enter from both sides of the eye, clip in and done.Works great, but car specific instructions would be helpful!!

Great value & install
So far I have the product on for 4 days & working great. I used a regular washer on the bushing & a rubber washer on the linkage & squeezed it on with pliers & it snapped in place easy. The job took less than an hour with the removal & install of everything. The bushing I need3d was the white piece from the kit.
