Fair price, good & quiet wheel. Buy it!
No complaints, and the hamster really seems to like it! [Update: It does get noisy eventually.]PRICE, QUALITY, PRICE FOR QUALITY: Good quality, appropriate price (on Amazon). I dunno what's the reviews saying the yellow thingie falls off; mine is fine and it's been weeks. I'm using it on the ground with the stand.SIZE: I heard the next size down was too small for roborovoskis except for babies, so I bought this one. It seems comfortable and spacious for my adult female roborovski, but not so big that I feel like I went TOO big. I'm happy that she has more running room (side to side) and that it's a flatter run for her (rather than her having to arch her back).GETTING DIRTY: Yes, you have to wash the urine & feces off of it from time to time, but why have a pet if you aren't willing to take care of it? This wheel is probably much safer and much more comfortable for their little feet than a wire one that the urine & feces can drop through, so, that's just how it goes. Suck it up for the sake of your hamster (and your ears).Besides, I don't see why wire wheels would need to be cleaned any less often (even if the need to do so isn't as immediately visually obvious) but, sadly, I bet a lot of people go weeks or months letting them get all nasty. That's a problem with the OWNER, not with plastic vs. metal wheels...NOISE: It's not utterly silent (duh), but it's so quiet that I generally don't realize that she's using it unless I look and see it. When you're lying in bed and thinking about it, sure, you can hear it a bit, but I was going insane from the previous wheel (even with olive oil on it), whereas now I never even think about it, ever. Her scritching and scratching about the cage is distracting for me, some nights, but never the wheel. [Update: Yeah, it gets noisy eventually, and now I'm back to needing earplugs. Took a few months though, not weeks.]Recommended! It's also attractive. I'm glad mine turned out to be purple :)

Best wheel I've tried for hermit crabs
The media could not be loaded. I started with the 4.5" wheel for my hermit crabs. It's the perfect size for my tiny hermit crabs like the one in the video. Someone else was rehoming hermit crabs so now I have 3 larger ones as well. They also love the 4.5" wheel but they're legs tend to go over the sides and they shove eachother off not wanting to wait for their turn.I decided to get a second wheel and figured it may as well be a bigger one. I saw these Kaytee ones were pretty cheap so thought I'd try a 'better' one. Well I tried a different brand that cost twice as much, and one of my crabs got his legs stuck in the holes on the back of the wheel and had to be rescued. So I ended up having to throw that one away (I'd feel bad returning it since they poop on the wheel a lot). I then bought the Kaytee 6.5" instead since I liked the mini so well. I got lucky with the random colors and ended up with the same color as my other wheel. Both sizes are great and I appreciate them more after a different brand flopped. There's no spots for the crabs to get stuck on the wheel. It's super quiet, mostly plastic, easy to clean. I have seen on fb someone else's crab got a leg stuck in the metal stand, but I buried the stand in the substrate since metal and rust are bad for hermits anyway. Now I sometimes see one crab on the smaller wheel and 2 on the big one (not always trying to walk the same direction...). I guess sometimes the more expensive options aren't always better than the cheaper ones that are easier to find.

Broke within a week
We are lucky my kid's little hammie didn't hurt himself on this product. The first night in use, the wheel fell off the pronged metal based. When I discovered it in the morning, our hamster was actually underneath the wheel. Fortunately he was okay. I replaced it and thought maybe I needed to dig it a little bit deeper in his bedding so it was more stable. About three days later, the little yellow knob that covers the screw that allows the wheel to spin popped off. I guess our little fellow managed to scamper away before it fell this time. I definitely would not recommend this product to any hamster owner.

Works Well
This wheel is certainly quieter than the standard wheel I had. Since it's plastic, it's easy to clean too. However, the wheel will get loose and wobble after about 2 weeks of use. I think it seems to be the construction of the back attachment and the axle. Once this happens, it is still "quiet," but definitely not nearly as noiseless as when it is first used. I'm not sure it can be fixed, as I've tightened it as much as possible and it's still causing some vibrations (I'm using it attached directly to the side of the cage, btw). In any case, it works well enough that I can sleep. As for durability, it seems a bit worn after only 2 months. Then again, it hasn't broken yet. I'm just disappointed this product isn't made sturdy enough to maintain its original quietness after use by my new syrian hamster, who it is supposed to be for (as pictured on the packaging). It could work better for dwarves though. It's also a shame that amazon didn't let me choose the color I got, haha, but that's not really a problem. In the end, if you're looking for a fast, reasonable alternative to a screeching wheel, this will do it. But if you're willing to do some searching online, and maybe spend more money, try getting something else for syrian hamsters. For example: Wodent Wheel (heard lots of great reviews and comes in an 8" size), SAM Lightning Wheel/some other SAM wheels (have a slightly different design from the silent spinner that may work, after all they're also plastic), Karlie Wonderland Wheel (is 8" and silent, but it's wooden, so maybe not the best), etc.
