With this SCART Converter Adaptor it is possible to connect your devices that have a Component Video or SVHS (S-Video) output to a SCART Socket on your TV or VCR that do not have Component Video + Audio Left/Right or SVHS + Audio Left/Right connectors. With the built-in Input/Output switch it is also possible to reverse this connection to allow a device that outputs via a SCART connector to transmit the signal to allow it to connect to a device that has a Component Video + Audio Left/Right or SVHS input + Audio Left/Right. IDeal for use with Camcorders, VCR's, DVD Recorders etc. The connectors are Golden Plated to allow a better quality signal to pass through it.

It did exactly what I needed it for
I got this item because I needed a way to connect my Nintendo Wii to my television. My tv is one of those that doesn't have the standard 3 AV female ports that games consoles require to plug into for televisions. So I looked for an alternative and it turns out for my television a Scart adaptor was the safest and smartest option.I picked this one because it was a good price and a lot of decent reviews. Now I see why, it does exactly what I need it to do and I'm happily playing on my console again! It also came a day earlier than I expected which was very helpful.It also comes as a standard postal item so the need to sign for it isn't there you don't have to wait in for it!

VERY poor construction quality
When I first tried this thing it didn't work so I pulled it out to change the switch and the 'shroud' came off & stayed in the VCR. So if your not handy at repairing things don't bother with this Chinese junk

I hope it will work when I need it
I have bought this for when I need a new television and it will not have a scartlead connection. I can then use it together with two sets of cables I have bought to link my video and CD player to the new television. I hope it will work.

Large body
I bought this SCART/RCA component adaptor so that I could plug my old VHS recorder into my new Smart TV using the Red/White/Yellow connections, however, the body of the adaptor is larger than the standard SCART plug and it will not plug into the VHS socket properly, past the housing.I will have to cut some of the VHS player away or come up with another solution.

Works like a charm
Arrived the next week from purchase date and does what I needed it to. so happy customer here. I purchased it to connect my wii to my t.v as it did not have the yellow, red and white colour connection slots.

Worth every penny
Needed to connect my video recorder to my smart tv. This adapter made it possible. And now viewing family memories on my big screen. Worth every penny.
