Book arrived ahead of schedule, good on the seller. BUT the best was yet to come....it is truly a beautiful book with the fashions of Oleg Cassini displayed on one of our nation's loveliest First Ladies and the condition of the book is excellent. I purchased for very good but it's in wonderful shape for being 25 years old. Even the dust jacket is unmarked and looks fresh from the printer. So very happy with my purchased I will highly recommend this seller and will use them again.

This book is an elegant "coffee table" book that I would leave out for visiting friends to peruse. I got it because I have a vintage barbie doll from that era, and I wanted to make her a "Jackie" styled dress. Reading the designer's notes on how he created the signature look for the first lady is fascinating. But I noticed on many of his sketches we have waistline darts, while the eventual dress had princess lines - which made the dresses look more classic and timeless and gave them a smoother look.

Just a lovely and informative book, a must for fashion lovers! Packed very well, so pleased with my purchase.

This book is a detailed account of designer Oleg Cassini's collaboration with Jacqueline Kennedy on her wardrobe. Lots of illustrations of the dresses plus Cassini's original sketches.

Really enjoyable book. Offers a good insight into the mind of the First Lady and her attention to fine detail as well as her graciousness in acknowledging the work done for her and the expertise involved in providing her with clothes which stunned the world and helped the fasihon industry in America. .

I already owned the 1995 version of the book, so what is the difference between that and the 2015 version? There are tons of new photos added to the book. Additional sketches, photos of fabric swatches, and many, many more photos of Jackie wearing the clothes, along with clippings, news releases...all together it is a much better version, one which I highly recommend. However the book is not without some considerable faults. Several of the photos are pixilated and out of focus. Some of the new text is of a darker color then the original text, even within the same paragraph. The book lacks quality control, which I found to be disappointing for a Rizzoli book. It's as if there was no proofing prior to sending the book to the publisher. Even with these faults, I still feel that the new version is a better book to own.

This book is a must-have for any Jackie fan. I was hesitant to buy it because I have so many Kennedy books, and I thought, 'Do I really need another Kennedy book?' Well, it turns out I did! This book is beautifully done and really exceeded my expectations. It's not just a rehash of magazine shots which so many Jackie fashion books are. It's a really well thought out Jackie treasure ( with lots of gorgeous shots of JFK too).The book cover and paper feel and look glossy and expensive. The actual photos are really well compiled and include rare ones, too. I cannot wait to read it. It looks like a great read if the quotes are anything to go by. It's definitely worth the Amazon price!

I bought this as a gift for my daughter who is fascinated with Jacqueline Kennedy. And all I can say is SHE LOVED IT!!

基本的にはファッション雑誌なのかもしれませんが、私にとってはアメリカ史・大統領史の一部です。ケネディが人気があったのは半分はジャッキーのおかげだと思う。今で言うダイアナ紀でしょうか？ケネディが暗殺される直前の晩餐会（朝食会でしたか）も大統領自身が嫉妬をするくらい、みんなはジャッキーの出番を待った。というかジャッキーのファッションを期待していた。この後何が起こるとも知らずリムジンに乗るピンクのジャッキーの笑顔が忘れられません。フロントの写真も素敵ですが、全編本当に最高の写真で一杯です。説明は英語ですが、辞書があれば大丈夫でしょう。服を製作された方は勿論ですが、写真を撮られた方も当時のジャッキーの人気を考えれば大変だったと思います。

Would highly recommend this book if you love Jacqueline's fashion,Exactly what I wanted, showing off this beautiful lady, exquisite fashion, I would have been about seven at the time&hated my name until I saw this icon with the same name,spelt the same way too gone she may be,but her fashion&elegance lives on. I also have a few replicas of her jewellery& of course her sunglasses.
