Designed with a light gauge (.010-.046) and a smooth, balanced tone, these strings minimize finger noise and maintain high-quality sound, making them a top choice for professionals and enthusiasts since 1997. ## Description Product Description Special advanced polymer technology protects the winding strings from sweat, body oil and dirt, and prevents corrosion, making it an innovative string that lasts 3 to 5 times longer than ordinary strings without coating. Since its launch in 1997, it has been acclaimed by numerous professional and amateur musicians around the world. ■ Coated wound strings The elixir coated wound strings come in two different coatings. Both have the same long life, but there are differences in sound quality and feel. The elixer has an ultra-thin nano-web coating. Uncoated string bright and powerful sound. Moderately held finger noise. The elixer with an original polyweb coating is... Elegant, balanced and muted sound. The noisy finger noise is trapped to a very small level of smoothness. ■Anti-rust (anti-rust = anti-rust) plain strings The newly developed plain strings with a special corrosion resistant treatment that prevents rust and corrosion without altering the sound quality, and has been successfully extended by 3 to 5 times its lifespan compared to traditional plain strings. This breakthrough process improves the life of plain and coated wound strings, giving you a fresh feel and tone when re-strunging longer than ever. Anyone experience this after stringing up their guitar?** A: I'm assuming you put on same gauge strings for it not to be a problem before you restringed the guitar and it only one string in the middle where the neck meets the body I think it's your action and check intonation but that's weird only the d string 🤨 **Q: I don't know what went wrong. A string broke under a week after I put the polyweb mediums on. Why did this happen?** A: The only thing that I know of to cause that is over tension. Which I have done in the past by not realizing that I was tuning the string an octave higher that I should have. I don't remember which string it was but I had over tighten it while watching the tuner and tuned to the wrong octave. The string broke the next day, I ask a luthier what could have happened, he gave me the probable cause. When I replaced the string I was more careful tuning and realized that he was right I had over tighten the string. So that is something to consider as a possible cause. Since that happened a few years ago I have change many strings and never had it happen again. **Q: Why is this cheaper than nanoweb coating? Also is the coating poisonous in any way?** A: They last longer than nanoweb. I like them better ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ やはり一番良いです。 ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 長持ち *by on Reviewed in Japan September 18, 2025* 錆びにくく長持ち値段がもう少し安くなれば嬉しい ## Frequently Bought Together - Elixir Strings, Electric Guitar Strings, Nickel Plated Steel with POLYWEB Coating, Longest-Lasting Warm Tone with Comfortable Feel, 6 String Set, Light 10-46 - Elixir Strings, Acoustic Guitar Strings, Phosphor Bronze with NANOWEB Coating, Longest-Lasting Rich and Full Tone with Comfortable Feel, 6 String Set, Light 12-53 - Elixir Strings, Electric Guitar Strings, Nickel Plated Steel with NANOWEB Coating, Longest-Lasting Bright Tone with Comfortable Feel, 6 String Set, Light 10-46 --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://trinidad.desertcart.com/products/740136373-polyweb](https://trinidad.desertcart.com/products/740136373-polyweb) --- *Product available on Desertcart Trinidad and Tobago* *Store origin: TT* *Last updated: 2026-10-11*
