The Art of Peter Max

I'm glad I got this book, but I must say, only the first 2/5th of the book are that interesting to me, the part that focuses on his psychedelic pop art from the early 70s. The rest of the book mainly has his muddy-looking paintings, which are far less interesting to me.

I went into full panic mode because the tracking number I received didn’t match up. However, the book arrived in absolutely fantastic condition.

So surprised it was autographed. 🥰🥰

Peter Max is surely a core of American Pop Art that contains continuous 60's cultural background and German background Expressionism. Moreover this book gives us a short cut in leading us into a mainstream of Peter Max' art so that the reader may love of American Pop art. Highly Recommended!

Schöne große Bilder, auch mit ausklappbaren Seiten, die den besonders farbenreichen einzigartigen Pinselstrich des Künstlers zeigen. Aufgeschlagen auf dem Tisch liegend, ist das Buch ein eigenes Kunstwerk, was die Bilder an der Wand nicht ersetzen kann und soll, aber mehr als so manch andere Kunstbücher uns den Künstler in die Wohnstube holen. Die Bilder bestechen durch brillante Farben und Größe.

私の好きなポップなイラストは、全体の1/4くらいで、あとは変にアートっぽくなっちゃったアクリル絵の具の絵ばっかり。こんなのでは到底納得は出来ないのだ。3000円位なら許せるが、それ以上ならキツいぜ!!

この表紙を見てください。中身もずっとこんな感じです。洋書なので文章の内容については分かりませんが、どこを開いても色だらけです。優しくて、激しくて、心地よい色であふれています。特に、後半は文章はほとんどなく、ただ眺めることが出来ます。私はこんなに図版の多い洋書に初めて出会いました。ぜひ！夏のビタミンになります。

とにかく、ポップでサイケなニクいやつ！イエローサブマリンも最高だけど、それだけじゃないっ。これをみて、彼の今までのイメージとはちょっと違う一面を探してみてはどうですか？全２４０ページの濃ユ～イ内容になっています。これ１冊で一日中楽しめマス！！間違いないっ！！！
