Decibullz Custom Molded Security Radio Surveillance Earpiece Set, Thermo-Fit Designed for Clear Acoustic Tube Radios, Isolation

I’m a state trooper and wear a radio earpiece for road patrol, as well as any other events that may come up (football game details, other noisy events, checkpoints, etc.) I had tested numerous pieces from a different audio earpiece kit over the course of several shifts. I found the standard “mushroom” tip earpiece to feel secure however throughout my shift it would loosen up and want to come out of my ear. The following day I tested the “ear hugger” tip. Clear with a little bubble or two which tried to keep earpiece secure. I found that tip was more comfortable and let me hear more out of that ear, however seemed a little less secure. I found myself constantly checking and readjusting it in my ear. If I turned my head a certain direction, or too fast, the piece would start to pop out of my ear. I bought these after reading reviews and testing the other kit I bought several weeks ago. THIS PRODUCT IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I read the directions which were super easy to follow. Takes 5 minutes to melt in boiling water, 30 seconds to cool, and I put in my ear while piece was soft and warm. Both ear pieces molded perfectly the first time, although if you mess up you can remold until you get the perfect fit. Once molded in, leave in ear to harden for 5 minutes, pushing on them every 30 seconds or so to make sure they remain in proper place while they harden. I have jogged in place, let the tube dangle freely and jumped up and down to try and make the earpiece fall out, have tugged on the tube to try and dislodge the earpiece, and let my spouse try and tug them out too. NEVER ONCE FELL OUT!!! I CANNOT WAIT TO TRY THESE ON THE ROAD MY NEXT SHIFT!!!! If you’re in law enforcement and wear an earpiece YOU NEED THESE. SO FAR, COULD *NOT* BE HAPPIER!!!! Now I have a custom molded ear piece, and another custom molded piece for my other ear with foam tips (included with this purchase) to give me a nice set of custom fit, well sealed, low noise earplugs for the gun range.

They work great and were easy to mold. Follow the instructions to a T and you won't have any issues. They did make my ears a little sore the first day that I wore them, granted they were in my ears for 2-3 hours at a time. The next day, all was good. I use them along with my two-way radio at work. I ordered the small foam inserts hoping for a better fit, and I remolded them to my ears with the small inserts. But I ended up having to order the mediums. I wish that they had a lanyard that would work for those that need a lanyard and a radio earpiece.

I was interested in trying this earpiece because its the only one that offered a 'custom' mold which I was hoping would (a) keep the piece in my ear better and (b) improve sound quality. It was very effective in keeping the piece in my ear, but my ear felt occluded and it definitely impacted my ability to hear surrounding noise. I found I would always turn my head to orient my free ear when talking to people. My biggest issue though was related to comfort. This isn't a cheap earpiece and as others have mentioned the tough thermoplastic material is hard! My ear started feeling sore after a couple hours. I probably could have 'gutted through it' but found other options that were more comfortable.I REALLY wanted to love it, and I don't hate it - in fact I keep in my pocket as a back up, but it isn't my preferred piece. Also, I found it a challenge to mold in my ear. I got it after a few tries but its certainly isn't a thing of beauty! My thumbprint is indelibly marked into the outer aspect where I kept it pushed in while cooling and it looks misshapen, although that's just an aesthetic issue, which doesn't impact sound quality or usability. I didn't find that it increased the sound quality over any of the other ear pieces I had, although that's probably more a function of the headset used. But still, I was hoping that by putting the tube right in my ear it might have increased the perceived volume a bit. Alas, that was not the case.All in all, not a bad choice, but not for me. Would try again if they offered one that used a softer plastic.

To start, the molding process is easy and quick. It does have good sound when everything is put together.Now for the reality of using it. It makes your hearing somewhat muffled when it comes to outside sounds, and feels kind of weird because it feels like you have a clogged ear even though you can still hear.It does end up getting A LOT of moisture from sweating and I noticed a lot more moisture getting into the tubing versus other devices.The quality is very sturdy, and does stay in place all day, even when having to run and getting tossed around. The pricing is very good for the product.

Fits really well! A little bit difficult at first, but super comfortable, very well fitting, and versatile.

This can not be re-moulded over and over like it says. If you don't get it on the first shot you're done for. Mine is now so deformed it's unrecognizable and completely unusable. Also, the part that sits in your ear canal is just a basic uncomfortable mushroom-style earpiece.First attempt forming to the curves of my ear had this thing almost permanently adhered to my head. There's too much material, trying to get it to fit ended up clamping around the curves of the ear. Was actually painful removing it.Second attempt, being sure to conform to curves without clamping, was completely useless.Third thru tenth attempts all equally unsuccessful, with the material degrading with each attempt.Long story short, there's too much material to form this thing to an ear without resorting to pain. Even if you get it to work, you still have an awful mushroom earbud in there. Absolute waste of money.I'm sticking to my regular silicone molded ear piece.
