Aura CaciaLemon Balm Pure Essential Oils in Jojoba Oil - 0.5 Oz

I tried a home remedy with a twist by blending a plain tube of Carmex with about 20 drops of the lemon balm oil into a small balm tin, and I also added this oil into my own homemade lip balm for daily use. I use the carmex blend overnight because it's heavier and stickier and the regular sticks for use during the day. I have had just 1 cold sore outbreak in the past 5 months -today. I can honestly say it's not terrible. I woke up in the middle of the night with that itchy feeling and just slathered a thick layer of the balm on it. I followed up with some Abreva and Advil this morning. It doesn't seem terrible. Much less swelling, no pain, no itch, and since I caught it early I'm hoping the Abreva knocks it out completely. I used to get them frequently, but this seems to at least make them..less. Less frequent, less severe..just less.This will not 100% prevent cold sores, but when combined with treatment items (Abreva really is one of the best cold sore treatments once they've started) and preventative care (sunscreen with zinc oxide for those of us who are triggered by direct sunlight).I am prone to frequent cold sores for a few reasons (direct sunlight, hormonal changes, excessive stress), and I can say that daily use of this mix really helped me out. I'll update if something changes, but this is definitely going to be a staple in my house for the time being.

I purchased this because I wanted to try Aura Cacia, as they offer blends that are ready to use right out of the bottle, and boy am I glad I did! I needed help with my overactive thyroid, it gets so bad that it throbs and I just pour sweat. On top of that the meds used to treat it are just AWFUL, made me feel worse, like less of a person so I just never went outside anymore, gave up. I used this after the bottle cooled down from being transported through the mail in heat, and wow. Great smell, first off. I rubbed it all over the front of my neck, over my thyroid.I haven't had any crazy throbbing since, and have felt generally calm and more pleasant, less grouchy.I put this on at night too when it's time to take my sleep meds, and they go really well together, I sleep so much better, no more tossing and turning. I highly recommend for anyone, thyroid sufferer or not.

I'm so glad Amazon carries this brand. It's a high quality brand that I'm familiar with. There are so many on the market and sometimes you don't know what you're getting. This one is pure and really nice.

Excellent value for a priceless product. I use it at the first signs of a herpes eruption. Since it makes me relaxed I reserve application for evenings before retiring. Consumed with lemon balm and lysine capsules it helps contain and calm an outbreak quickly. This is useful for canker sores and shingles as well. Just bathe the affected area with the oil as often as possible. A few drops do wonders for me and I am never without a bottle or two in my medicine cabinet. You simply cannot do without it if you suffer from the zoster virus.

So far. I am satisfied. It serves the purpose. I wouldn't use it for aromatherapy with a diffuser... It doesn't smell good for that. But it's smell fortifies my herbal blends that I use for teas.

I have done hours upon hours of research about nerve pain and treatments for it, but it's very difficult to find a treatment that works for nerve pain. I read this can help for nerve pain so I decided to try it. This does seem to take the edge off the pain a bit. Not to mention the smell is heavenly and puts me in a good mood which is very helpful because I'm so distraught over this constant nerve pain!

I bought this for my mom after seeing it on Dr. Oz. She suffers from chronic cold sores especially after a stressful event or cold. She said she used this at the first signs (tingling) of a cold sore developing and continued to apply it but it didn't work.I'm a little disappointed. I've asked her to continue to give it a few more tries.
