Love the form factor and the OS, but processor is too slow!
This is the second 15-inch Acer Chromebook we have purchased. Our family loves the simplicity of a Chromebook over other operating systems. This new machine has a great keyboard and the price was hard to beat. But, compared to our older Chromebook, this one is SLOW. There is sometimes noticeable performance lag on simple tasks such as scrolling and moving the cursor around the page. As a result, one family member already wishes we had purchased something other than this laptop and is avoiding the machine. Not what you want to hear when you just spent a few hundred dollars! Last piece of advice - before buying ANY Chromebook from any seller you should be certain you understand how long the machine will be supported by Google with software and security updates. That is easy information to find, but you have to do your homework (and Amazon will not let reviewers post the URL in their reviews)! Do an internet search for the "Chromebook Auto Update policy Overview" and look for the official webpage on the Google support website for Chromebooks. There is an official list of when each Chromebook will stop receiving guaranteed updates and some Chromebooks being sold might lose support only a few weeks or months from your date of purchase! Others will receive support for years. You have to be careful and make an educated decision! You will be glad you looked into it. ** Update after a few months of ownership. My family still finds this Chromebook too slow and laughs when it takes a few seconds to boot up (whereas our other Chromebook is instantly on). So, they do not use it but I do and I love it. Yes, it is our slower Chromebook, but the keyboard is great and it is still faster than any reasonably priced computer was a few years ago. I will not increase the rating because my family members are not happy with it, but I am pleased and consider it to have been a good value.

Great for Computer Dummies
I got irritated with Windows computers and, as I am now retired and don't have to worry about interfacing with work tech, I decided to try a Chromebook. I bought one in February and loved it. It is so easy and simple. Decided to buy one for my hubby, as he is a real computer dummy and I was sick and tired of him asking me to fix his Windows computer that he had screwed up again. He's had the Chromebook for a little while now and he also loves it. Only asked me once so far to fix it when he was first getting used to it. (Didn't really need fixing, just didn't know how to find his document). Unlike the Windows computer that it seemed he was asking for help with on a daily basis. Now I must admit, my hubby is in his 70s and doesn't know a browser from an operating system, etc. The only real drawback I've found is that you're limited to android apps, but this hasn't been an issue for us retired folks. I also love the affordable price.

Lightweight, fast, sharp screen resolution, easy to use right out of the box.
This is my first chrome book, I love the larger screen it — is incredibly light weight, and the screen has the brilliance and clarity I really enjoy. I never want to use my laptop anymore. This is my go to for any kind of sit down and work. I received a large amount of gigabytes storage for one year upon purchase which I use to transfer two decades worth of photos and documents onto my chrome book with Edds using my wireless Internet connection. Would recommend for anyone young or old. Simple easy to use, and a cinch to I never want to use my laptop anymore. This is my go to for any kind of sit down and work. Black Friday Splurge
I don't usually buy into the Black Friday madness, but I happened to see this during a time when I was looking for a computer so I said what the heck and bought it. Lo and behold it arrives on time and in a very well packaged box, surprising me since my orders are never thoughtfully packaged like this one was. I was excited and took it out of the box, it was unused and completely untouched. The screen and cord were in pristine condition. Using it was fantastic, even though it's a little heavier than my last chromebook, and it's battery life is great. I can charge it once and it will last for a couple days as long as I'm not running too many programs at once. I've been using it for a few months and the battery life hasn't diminished at all. Overall great product!

Bargain and Quality
What I like best about the Chromebook is the quality of the build and its extreme quietness. The keyboard is comfortable. This my first Chromebook and I have had a period of adjustment. I am still trying to learn how to form folders and fill them with docs. I'll get there. This is different for me. I miss the delete button from my PC. I am having to learn new keyboard formats. Now, I wish I had spent the extra money and got a touch screen model. I would recommend this product to a trusted friend.

Quick start!
This is my first Chromebook and the learning curve was short. I like the instant access versus my very long-lead Dell PC. That’s the best part. I use a mouse and the keyboard is easy to use. I had hoped to watch movies on this, and do, but the picture quality is nowhere near as good as my iPad. Works well enough, though if I have a dark room. It was so inexpensive that I travel with it, an added bonus.

SD Card Slot
I do not like that you have to use a large SD card or a micro card adapter, The thing is the card sticks out of the computer.because you cannot use a micro sd card unless you use the adapter and it sticks out. This day and age, come on google get caught on tech.

responsive vendor
We bought 2 Chromebooks for my kids because we have to do school from home right now... like the rest of the world. After 9 days, one of the Chromebooks won't power on. They returned the chromebook without any problems. thank you
