I needed a device to connect my Google Home to my Onkyo 7.1 HT.My Requirements:1)Interface to HT using optical cable2) Best sound quality3) TX and Rx options.4) Unit in operation even when charging.(if battery goes bad after some years, I should still be able to use it.)After extensive reading of the specs and reviews on Amazon, I decided to buy this.Pros: Tested RX only.1)Good quality, easy connectivity with Google Home,2)works while charging. I am not hearing any noticeable noise from the speaker while charging. More test will follow during quieter times.3) Sound quality is awesome.4) Bandwidth: audible for me from 20Hz to ~14KHz. The unit may be reproducing above 14Khz also, but my ears may not be good enough. Tested using Sine wave.Not tested:1)TX section is not yet tested.2)Battery lifeEdit: On further testing, I hear clicks before a high impulse sound. Not so audible, but definitely can be heard when listening in quiet rooms. Reducing the rating to 4 star.Edit: On further testing, I identified the clicks noise may have been due to the connection through the Google Home and the Chromecast requiring higher processing speed. When directly connected through Bluetooth, there are no clicks. So the device as such is performing well. Back to 5 StarEdit: Checked the transmitter section. There is delay in the sound of almost quarter to half a second. Sound quality is same as receiver.Edit: Bought the device on 18 May 2020. Now on 13 May 2021, the optical output section is NOT WORKING. I do not see the red laser light in the SPDIF connector.I wrote an email on15th May 2021, got a reply 30mins later mentioning that I will receive a call from support. I received a call at 4:45pm on the same day. After discussion, I found that the two SPDIF cable have been swapped on the unit. This might have happened when we were cleaning the TV unit a few days back.Now happy to infor that everything is back to working condition. I appreciate the support team for quick response. My rating is now 5stars.

Very Good Product

I have to edit my review yet again.This was my review a week ago : " I have to edit my review. I have been using this for about two weeks now. It was quite good at the initial stage. However, the impression is gone. I use it to watch movies at night for about 2 hrs approx. The battery now lasts barely 30 minutes. It has become useless after barely a fortnight. I gave it a five star. I now have to give a single star. It does'nt even deserve one."...Soon after I posted my review, I immediately got an email from the sellers. They gave me instructions following which my problem got rectified. I am very impressed by the impeccable professionalism of the sellers in their manner of handling problems and issues....For potential buyers of the product, I think it is proper that I share the issue that I have had. When I connect the device to a charger, a red light glows suppossedly indicating charge. After about half and hour, the red light goes away which made me believe that the device is fully charged. This was my mistake and I am sure many of you would think so too. But, the red light out does not necessarily mean that the device is fully charged. Just continue charging till the charging time comes to around 2 hours. After that, you are good to go for at least 5-7 hours without another recharge....And I am telling you, the seller does a good follow-up in case of complaints. I have to give 5 stars.This was my review when I got the product - "Got it today, delivered one week before ETA. Simple to operate. Does what it says. Battery seems to be good (although I have been using it only for about two hours. Let's see how it goes later on.) Seems to be a nice product. Price though is a bit on the higher side, I guess."...

One word for this product .. ULTIMATE.Me and my wife used to wear one each earbud before this, now we have our own earbuds both attached to the same device. No change in sound quality, it’s perfect. Go for it guys
