Follow up: 1) even on the pic I linked, I'm not seeing a description of that being an HDMI out port. It may just look like one. 2) Looks like there are all sorts of ways to do what you're trying to do and I still write, HDMI cable is the best of which I know. Does it work on ASUS MeMO Pad FHD 10 ME302C-A1-BL 10.1-Inch 16GB Tablet?

I do not have a tablet with USB ports to try it on, so I am not sure if it would work on that device. I tried to use this on Win 7 (64bit), Win 7 (32bit), and Win XP (32 bit) machines. I also passed through the driver to a Linux VM (BT5r3), and was unable to force the OS to recognize the chipset.

I need this for an older desktop with win98. What would I need to get this usb to serial to work with that. Thanks in advance.

Probably not. See many other comments. This is a product using a counterfeit chip inside, so it's difficult to impossible to get to work with anything.
