Hammond Manufacturing1591CSBK STYRENE Plastic CASE

This is probably the most suitably sized project box I've ever had. There's enough room to put a 400-point breadboard and still be able to actually use it. Such a breadboard fits almost perfectly into the lid of the enclosure--mine could only wiggle a tiny amount. The enclosure is long enough to allow for components (LEDs, LCDs, knobs, power jacks, etc) to be mounted to the enclosure without overlapping the breadboard too. I will definitely be buying more of these. The only thing that could possibly make me any happier is if there were a selection of colors other than black.

Well I'm starting to learn about Hammond boxes.. just a little big for diy box. But will work and be easier to build with.. good quality. Just pay attention to sizes

Perfect for adding four credit buttons to a four player X-Men arcade game. Easy to cut and drill yet rigid enough to hold up to some banging. I'll likley grab a few more of these just to have some on hand for the next odd project that will inevitably pop up.

The box would be perfect if the dimensions given were correct. My project has to fit behind a .25" x 1.5" board the box is 1.5635 tall not the stated 1.4. It will be hidden so I will use it w/o the lid and I can put the open side down to decrease dust.

Excellent project box. I needed to install a small circuit board and this box provides slots for holding them in place. I also needed to drill out for a toggle switch and there's plenty of wall thickness to allow for strength even after heavy use.

If you only can take out the extra lines in the sides of the box, I believe it can improve the quality of the rest of the sides. the rigged areas are hard to work with. otherwise strong plastic box great to work with. Ideal for projects. Would recommend.

These are exactly as advertised. Sleek and lightweight. They come with the four screws you need and are quite open on the inside except for the screw stanchions.
