OXO Good Grips Spring-Loaded Poultry Shears, Black

Excellent all purpose kitchen shears. Originally purchased over a year ago to split a whole chicken. My arthritic hands find these easy to operate as they do not have 2 full loops for fingers, rather a lever or bar type thing in place of one (look at product photos). Even small hands can use these, and the spring that automaticallly reopens them is wonderful. I find I am using them for many non-food things. Purchasing again to keep a "good" pair in the kitchen drawer for original intended use. Come apart and back together in a flash for washing. Well done Oxo!

Okay. You want to spatchcock a turkey for thanksgiving. It makes cooking the bird well, easier. You have to buy these type of scissors and this pair work perfectly, and you can store them in a drawer with our risk of severing a finger.

I'm a huge fan of making hot wings from scratch, and I always opt for fresh, whole wings instead of frozen. clean easy cutting. very sharp and sturdy. worth the cost. easy to clean since you can take them apart. i have used them to cut chicken wing sections and it was like cutting paper.

Great for spatchcocking 45+ lbs turkeys. Keeps it's edge and doesn't require to much force to get through bone. Fits easily in different people's hands in the family. We process a lot of chickens and turkeys. We have to cut them in half a lot. These are a lofe saver. Just wash in the dishwasher when you're done.

I bought these shears after quite a bit of research and they have risen to every challenge I have given them until last week when the spring went. I've never heard of that happening and wrote Oxo to ask the best way to fix, and within a day got a notice that a new pair were speeding their way to me as soon as I could confirm my address. The shears are back on my knife block and I'm now getting a couple more for stocking presents for my food loving family. Super comfortable and sharp shears, very sanitary with Oxo's amazing customer service standing behind in the very very unlikely chance something goes wrong.
