Q: Is this suitable for the smaller apple magic keyboard?

Sorry, I don't know what an apple magic keyboard is. I use mine on a Dell pc keyboard which fits it very well.

Q: Can you rest this on thighs and use a keyboard with no pain from the frame?

To be perfectly honest I would not imagine that you could rest it on your lap without a little discomfort. Unfortunately the plastic/rubber cover along the edge kept falling off making it even less conducive to resting it across your thighs. In my opinion I would not do it because I do not agree that it is designed for that purpose. Hope that helps.

On legs? Do you mean using it as a footrest? I’m not sure it would be strong enough to use as a foot rest. Also the raised bit which stops the keyboard slipping off would be uncomfortable on your heels. I’d suggest a proper footrest.

I can't say for sure but I think it is unlikely - I think it would be too big to fit - can you measure the keyboard? The measurements of the slope are pretty accurate. Also, ergo keyboards are usually sloped so I am not sure you would usually need a slope to put it on - it would put it at a quite steep angle I'd have thought.
