CURT 13270 Class 3 Trailer Hitch, 2-Inch Receiver, Fits Select Hummer H3

I installed this hitch on my 2009 Hummer H3. It was easier and and quicker to install than specified on instruction sheet. The hitch is completely concealed. Only the receiver is visible. I was expecting more of the hitch to be visible since it is after market but was pleasantly surprised how great it looks. The instructions state lowering exhaust will make installation easier. I did not have to lower exhaust and I installed the hitch by myself. Another feature that appeals to me is that Curt Mfg manufactures their hitches in USA. Check out their website. It is what helped sell me on their product. Lots of information and great videos. I strongly recommend this to anyone who is considering adding an aftermarket hitch.

I was able to install this unit on my Hummer H3 with no issues. Install in less than an hour by myself, Probably with one more helper maybe 45 minutes.Lowered the muffler from hangers and one hanger from tail pipe.Raised the Hummer up in the middle with floor jack to extend the spring shackle so the bolts were straight down aligned so the hitch could be raised straight up into position and install one of the bolts.Raise the muffler back up and there you go!!

This is a well built hitch but slightly challenging to install by yourself. I recommend at least 2 people to install. Even with the right tools it was frustrating. It fits great but I haven't tested it yet. Once I tow something with it, I will update my review.

I am rather late to be installing a trailer hitch on my 2007 H3, but here I am. This is a nice unit and comes with grade 10.9 mounting bolts/washers/lock nuts. I installed this myself, despite the advice of CURT instructions, that says two people are recommended. I did jack up the "body only" of my truck to straighten up the rear spring shackles for easier access and I attached the trailer hitch receiver to the saddle of my floor jack and used it to raise and position the trailer hitch. The floor jack holding the trailer hitch really helped in aligning the bolts holes. The whole process took about an hour. The look of this low profile trailer hitch is very near OEM and I am very pleased with the outcome.I would recommend this product

Curt Manufacturing is hands down a great hitch and it installed perfect and looks awsome!... American Made and it should get 10 stars for the finish and the fit.... Perfect!!

We were quite surprised when it was time to need a trailer hitch that we did not have one on our Hummer. We searched all over and found that it was going to be quite expensive until we looked at Amazon- who would think to look on Amazon for a trailer hitch receiver. This fit perfect. I had someone install it for $50 just because I didn't have time. But he said it was really easy.

great hitch but needs better tapered bolt ends

Standard hitch. Plenty of towing capacity. Installs with basic tools quickly and easily. Fit is spot on. No complaints as all. I do however recommend cleaning and sealing the area of your frame prior to bolting it up.
