Perfect. The search has ended
I'm surprised at some of the low ratings and complaints about this product. I have been using black liquid eyeliner for 25 yrs and have tried a ton. This is a great eyeliner. The brush is the right fullness, length, and rigidity. The black is deep and rich, and it goes on very easily and smoothly. I am not swimming in it, nor do I live in a humid climate, so I have no issues with it wearing off too quickly, but I will say that if you sleep with it on, it will be mostly worn off by morning. To me, this is an advantage, not disadvantage, because I like water-based products that go on smoothly, yet come off easily without aggressive scrubbing or tugging. I am also quite sensitive to chemicals, etc. and this product does not make my eyes run or be irritated like some others. I have zero complaints. And the price is phenomenal - kudos to e.l.f. for not inflating their prices unnecessarily. The mark-up on make-up is ridiculous. I would not waste money on trying other more expensive ones. This has everything I need.

Great liquid liner
Easy to apply. First time using liquid liner. I usually use kohl pencil liner but it's hard to get a thin precise wing with it and lately I'm loving the wing look. Dries pretty quick. I add a top layer of black shadow on top with a super thin angled eyeliner brush, so I get a matte finish. Also did this with the kohl liner. The brush is super thin so it's easy to get very close to my lash line. Lasts all day. And by all day I mean from 6am until I wash my face at 8 to 9pm. No smudges at all. No bleeding and I fading. Not sure if it's because I layer with eye shadow. Because I'm a novice with liquid liner, I didn't want to spend a lot. Glad I tried this. Not a fan of gel liners.

0 Revlon - Revlon's felt tip isn't pokey but sturdy, and it's able to get your line almost ...
For how cheap this eyeliner is, really decent! However, in terms of liquid eyeliners, I recently bought the Revlon ColorStay Liner. This is my comparison.Pros & Cons- Cheap. You can buy three of these for one Revlon.--- Score 1 Elf, 0 Revlon- Revlon's felt tip isn't pokey but sturdy, and it's able to get your line almost as thin as a hair. I have hooded eyes, and I like my eyeliner razor sharp. This Elf eyeliner is more like the tiniest paintbrush.--- Score 1 Revlon, 1 Elf- Lastly formula: Both were an excellent opaque black that glided on like butter. Both, when dried, stayed put through normal wear & tear, but came off easy as you please with a makeup remover.However. Elf took almost five minutes to dry, and as I have squishy hooded eyes... This lead to an epic mess my first application. The next couple of times were better, but Revlon dries in under a minute.--- Score 2 Revlon, 1 Elf.Conclusion:If you broke & dying to have a liquid liner that is worth every penny, Elf has your back. If you got $5 more, buy the Revlon.

Great, easy liner!!
I am NOT a makeup lover with tons of skill. I don't spend lots of money on fancy products, but I wanted something cheap I could use to look like I care a little bit about my makeup! It's very dark and pigmented, very smooth. Application is easy as long as your hand is steady (I rest my arm on the table). It stays as long as I need it to, a few hours at least. My eyeshadow wears off long before this liner does. I wouldn't use it for a lighter, more casual look, but it's great and works really well for those of us less skilled ;)

Great eyeliner, terrible brush.
I used to use this product daily for about 3 years. Recently I ran out of my regular eyeliner, so I figured I'd try this product again. I had hoped the quality of the brush would've improved over time, but unfortunately it hasn't. The end of the brush is flat; not pointed like pictured on the packaging. After applying, the bristles on the brush started to wing out almost immediately. I guess the product hasn't really changed in the past year, but it definately has not improved. It's actually a good quality eyeliner, but I just cant get over the brush.

My favorite eyeliner
My favorite eyeliner. As a new make up user I’ve been intimidated by liquid eyeliner. This brush is nice and small and it was a game changer for me I am able to use the liquid eyeliner every day. And it’s extremely cheap and a wonderful value

Flakes? or, no Flakes? That is the question!
I bought this eyeliner for 2 reasons: because of the brush tip, and because per reviews it doesn’t flake off. There are not many options for brush tips on the market, and it is my main criteria for purchasing liquid liners. This brush was nice and thin, allowing me to easily apply thin or thick lines. The major issue I have is THIS PRODUCT FLAKES OFF! I work 12 hr shifts, so I need my eyeliner to stay on at least 13-14 hrs. After about 5 hrs, it started to flake off in the corners. I even applied primer on my eyes, and it still flaked. So I’m out about $20, for eyeliner and primer, and still have FLAKES!
