Discovery Channel Sharkopedia: The Complete Guide to Everything Shark

I bought this book as a gift for my Granddaughter who is interested in learning about sharks. It looks to be crammed with photos, text, and diagrams on sharks of all kinds. Unfortunately, the book looks used with a dented and creased cover. There is no time to return it so I hope she can overlook the books condition.

I have a fascination with sharks and am a shark lover, so of course I needed to get a shark book. This one had most good reviews and I enjoyed the "look inside" preview so I got this one, and am very glad I did! It is an amazing book, incredible even! It has everything to know about sharks and even says on the back it includes all 498 known shark species info in it, which is amazing! It really is a shark "encyclopedia." I am very happy & satisfied with this book! I do plan on getting more shark books in the future, mainly just to see what they say (and the pictures), but you will not be disappointed buying this one!.

I love Shark Week every August, and this book, although a little older, is full of photos and information by the participants in an earlier year of Shark Week. The pictures are so professional, and just about all of the major sharks are covered in the book. They are magnificent animals and deserve to be protected . A book you can go through again and again.

Bought this book for my five year old grandson who loves sharks. He loves this book! His mother told me he always wants her to read it to him. He is just learning to read so it's too advanced for a beginner reader. But so well written that it keeps his attention and has added to his comprehension skills. He enjoys telling me what he's learned about different sharks.This is a very comprehensive well written children's shark book. The pictures are vibrant and exciting exactly what you expect from the Discovery Channel. I would recommend this book for shark lovers of any age.

Purchased for our homeschool but my 6 year old fell in love with it so it is his now. He has had this book with him every day since. The photos are fantastic and it covers more species than any of the other shark books we've seen.

This is THE shark book, Sharkopedia, indeed! My 9-year-old grandson was obsessed with sharks, had checked out all school and county library books about them and thought he knew all but he was lit on fire by this book because it provided pictures he hadn't seen and information he hadn't known. Great purchase.

Got this as a gift for my son and he loves it so much. He reads it all the time.

We got this for a young shark lover in the family. It's a great book with a lot of information and bright, colorful pages with photos and illustrations. I would have given it 5 stars had it been hardback, but it's only offered in paperback which is disappointing, as the covers are already starting to show wear after a month.

This book has a lot of shark facts even I didn't know. The only shark they didn't mention is the Cyclops shark. Great Book!!
