Really excellent…. But….
💥💥 This OV LED light is a game changer when going out at night to do things. It was night time and I just put a car battery in my truck before righting this review and with this on my forehead light followed me wherever I went. Under the hood was all lit up nicely. Crazy me went out at 11 P.M. one night to spray spotted Lanternflies here in NJ and it was so easy looking all through the branches in a tree on a step ladder with the LED light strip on my head and a spray bottle in the other. Never a need to have to hold a flashlight in one hand while doing tasks of any type. With this on its light wherever you look. If has a 2 level switch - high, low and off. No crazy multiple pushes or a hold of the button to get it to work. I don’t need blinking SOS or red so it’s a simple 1, 2 or 3 press to go through the modes, bright, low, off. There are two rows of 10 LED lights making 20 in total that go wide enough to cover your field of view from the left to right sides. No dark areas. This is very bright and I prefer the light color and brightness of this OV LED over the Lightbar that I bought for my daughter. That LED strip is much stiffer and harder so it’s more uncomfortable to wear for an extended period of time. I’ve come inside my house after having this on and forgot to take it off until someone mentioned that I had it on. I’m actually wearing it as I’m typing my review. HAA. This one is more flexible and softer making it much more comfortable to wear. It bends like a soft leather belt and pay no attention to the reviewer that mentioned it being hot. If it’s 93 degrees in August anything will be warm on your head.I’m so glad that it takes AAA batteries vs being rechargeable. With a rechargeable you are beat if it’s dead and have to wait for an hour or more to use it. I have plenty of Amazon brand batteries in AAA, AA and C and a charger so I’m partly “green”.—-The only downsides —- I wish the battery life was a little better but that’s probably the trade off for brightness. For that reason I keep it on the low setting often which many times is sufficient. Also, since it is on your forehead above your eyebrows , where it sits is angled up being that your head is round and that is where the light is basically aimed. It would be nice if it was designed to aim down slightly to compensate for that because when you aim your head down slightly things in front of you get noticeably brighter. All brands are this way so it’s not a specific design flaw only for this brand. OV LED, make it tapered down a little please. The added bonus is that I prefer this brand overall to the Lightbar and it is half the price.Softer, more flexible, nicer light temperature (warmer kelvin) less money, simpler light mode switch … It’s a no brainer. But it now with no regrets. When I find something that I like this much I hope that it sells well enough to remain available if I ever want to buy it again which I definitely would do without hesitation.. 🤟🏼 to remain available if I ever want to buy it again which I definitely would do without hesitation.. 🤟🏼

Good for broad coverage; but cannot aim it down
From other reviews, and the photo, I expected it would give short range and broad coverage, and it proves very good for working under the sink. Small places where you just can't turn your head or body far enough to aim a spotlight. This will be good in my tool kit. It lights up the whole space under the sink beautifully. When you get into a place as big as a closet, or a dark hallway, you discover that it is aimed at the ceiling, and there is no way to aim it down where you are working. Not as good for close work in your lap or on the workbench. I found this light also works pretty good in the basement with a white ceiling. The reflected light is bright enough to light up a wide area.A warning - it blasts your friends' eyes in every direction, too bright too look at it, so it is only good if you are working solo. Not good for working near a friend or spouse. Bad in a mirror.I didn't have any problem with tucking the battery pack into its sleeve, or with finding and operating the power switch by feel. It appears well made, I think durability will be OK, especially for the price. It looks better made than some of first headlamps I bought years ago for more money. I might update after I find out how long the batteries last, while it is throwing out this huge amount of light.UPDATE 4/15/20 Increased rating to 5 stars after using it more, taking it outdoors, and under the car. It lights up an entire dark 15x25 ft living room, with remarkably even light. Walking outdoors at night, it lights up my entire field of view nicely out to about 20 feet, and dimly farther than that. Crawling under the car, it lights up the whole bottom of the car without having to twist my neck or aim anything, much handier than a flashlight. Under the hood, it lights up the whole engine compartment without having to aim it. Standing at the workbench in dark garage is OK even though not aimed down. Holding a book in my lap it gives good light for reading, kinder than a narrow beam. Battery life test found that, on High with black eneloop batteries, it was noticeably dimmer after 1 hour and a lot dimmer before 2 hours. I'll update if further tests, or a test on low power, are much different. I ordered more batteries and I always travel with a charger.

Cheap, pretty functional
The Good:It was very cheap.Pretty bright, very wide, unfocused patternBattery life seems goodNot heavy or bulky, so it does not tend to slide up or come offThe not so good:light is totally unfocused. While this is OK at times, there is no way to NOT shine it into people's eyes...This uses flat LEDs that are actually just sitting on the band. While a plus in terms of stability compared to other headlights, this means the light comes right off your forehead. Which means that it is close enough that it actually shines down into my glasses (no frame, so it may not be a big issue if you have an opaque frame on your glasses or don't have glasses) that I use to work on my bike. Not horrible, but it is pretty annoying. While it works, and some of the wiring and such seems pretty well done, the battery box and on/off switch is pretty cheap. I've not had any issues but it is clearly NOT heavy dutyAs far as the rating, 4 stars because it was very cheap and it does much better than I'd hoped. I would get it again at the price I paid, but find that I do tend to use my better headlight still to work on my bikes due to the light shining into my glasses.
