Useless, cheap manufacturing, leaks and worthless pumps. Just buy sleeping pads and save yourself the backaches and ordeal.
Bought a queen and a twin for a 40-day car camping trip. What a disaster. Ended up just throwing them in a recycling bin about a third of the way in and buying proper foam pads from an REI, which cost a little more but actually worked. These were a total loss. Here's why these didn't work for my wife and me.Leaks. These things lose air. Every night all night. They tell you repeatedly that at first it will *look* like air loss, but really it's just the vinyl expanding. This is nonsense. They leak out the valves. Both ours leaked constantly. You can even hear it when someone is lying on it and you hold your ear close. I weighed about 270 at the start of the trip (250 at the end!) but these are rated, supposedly, to 500 lbs. We both would wake up 3-4 times a night sunken into our mattresses. This means you're in an awful posture and you will be aching. It also means you have to reinflate if you don't want to try to fall back asleep in a weird personal vinyl hammock or just sleep on the ground. But that's the opposite of a solution because of the terrible pumps.Useless pumps. They can't be operated plugged in to a wall. Only by charge. I didn't see this as a problem because, hey, we're camping. We don't have electricity. They come with car chargers, so I figured I'd just charge them as we drove during the day. We averaged between 6 and 7 hours of driving almost every day. Well guess what, these take a minimum of 10 hours to recharge. The company says they're good for several days of use, but that would only be true if you don't actually sleep on them. If you do that they'll need multiple refills each night, so you'll have an empty charge in the morning. Good luck charging it, because you'll never completely recharge it unless maybe if you can plug it in to charge immediately after you use it and leave it plugged in overnight. But how do you have reliable AC outlets if you're camping? We bought a high quality pump from a store a few days in because it became clear the supplied pumps are real pieces of cheap crap. Useless. It's unfortunate we didn't just give up on the beds, themselves pieces of cheap crap, at the same time. Once we bought normal camping pads, we slept great with no hassle. This is a horrible, horrible product, very, very cheaply manufactured and obviously with little thought to how it will actually be used.

Very disappointing experience
Very disappointed in this mattress. Prepped prior to week long camping trip in the Rockies by inflating and constantly checking it over three day period. Air mattresses do stretch and will give appearance that they’re losing air, but you simply need to add a little more air until they’re fully filled out. This mattress held air seemingly with no leaks at all for those three days, so I carefully deflated and returned it to its carrying bag and packed it for the trip. The second night on this mattress resulted in waking up around 2AM to a half filled mattress. Nothing more frustrating when you’re not planning on roughing it and looking for a good, comfortable night’s sleep than having an air mattress deflate on you. Checked the valve and seems but couldn’t find any leaks, though I was in no position to do a thorough leak test using soapy water or other method. Purchased a basic Coleman twin at Target the next day, but I kept trying to top up the SoundSleep throughout the day to see if it maybe I wasn’t seeing something obvious. At the end of the day I would not repurchase this mattress. Coleman guarantees a one year inflation capability or your money back, though you’ll need to work with the mfg because many stores only allow an exchange, not refund, on air mattresses. Save your receipts!

Amazing Mattress and Amazing Customer Service - the 1 Year Warranty is real!
About a year ago, I bought one of these air mattresses, after trying at least 5 or 6 different brands over the years, from cheap big box store types, Coleman, and fancy "guaranteed" ones costing over $100. Not one of them can hold a candle to Sound Asleep air mattresses. We normally use them for camping a few times a year, and the occasional guest sleepover, The first one I bought I ended up sleeping on every night for a few months, due to needing to sleep on my back while clearing up a sinus issue, and it worked beautifully. Once I had adjusted the amount of air one time within the first few days, I never even had to add air in all that time!I was so impressed, that when it was time for a week long camping trip, I ordered a second one for my husband to use - he is 6'5" and 250 pounds -and it worked just as well for him. Sounds good so far? But there's more ;)Just a couple of days ago, home from the camping trip, the older one developed a bulge in one of the middle "rows" of the mattress, so that it just could not be comfortable. I called Sound Asleep, and just told them about it, not sure what to do since it was already almost a year old and I had gotten such great use out of it. The customer service was amazing - the person who answered look up my old order, and told me that it was still within the one year warranty, and promptly ordered me a brand new replacement, at no charge! I hadn't expected that, and am very pleased. He did tell me that no one had reported a similar issue with a bulge, so please don't let that stop you from ordering this great mattress from a really good company. I'm guessing the bulge may have started as a weakness I created when I propped a bunch of blankets under one end of the air mattress for a couple of weeks to help me sleep upright on it when I had a cold. This mattress is definitely worth the extra money you pay up front!

Great product and customer service
Purchased two twin beds for camping over Memorial Weekend. One bed was very comfortable all three nights but the other had a very small hole that we couldn't locate so slowly let out air throughout the night. When we got home I called the company and they apologized and immediately sent me a new airbed and just told me to pitch the one I had. I got the new bed within two days and have tested it and it works very well.I also thought the rechargeable air pump was fantastic. On one charge it charged two beds initially and recharged them with additional air each day for three days. This is the most comfortable airbed I've slept on and I've been camping for several years. I'd highly recommend this product
