Fortessa Bistro 18/10 Stainless Steel 20 Piece Flatware Set

For the money I spent, I’m not excited. These are not bad pieces, but they are inconsistent with quality. From a performance standpoint, they are totally fine. From a value for money, wildly disappointing. I bought these months ago, because I didn’t want to miss out on the pattern. This, has been a mistake. I bought these because a restaurant I enjoy had them and I needed a new set. These are not even close to what was at the restaurant (even though the chef d’cuisine told me the brand and the style). Half of my set doesn’t have the brand stamping. None of them are not fully polished on all sides. For the amount of money I spent, per place setting, I would expect to have a fully polished set. On all sides. If I had it to do over again, I would have invested my money in my old Reed and Barton set. It is too late to return these, as, again, I bought these so I didn’t lose out on a matched set. I will bide my time and make a better decision in the future. Again, they are an okay set of service ware… but they aren’t worth more than $20.00 for a set of 4.

I first bought a set of this flatware from a higher-end store (my mistake for not researching first) and loved it so much I came back to get another (and discovered them here).These are a great addition to my kitchen, which desperately needed replacements for the dwindling remnants of a set I had for 20+ years. The weight of each piece is excellent, and trust me - unless you're seriously obsessive, you completely forget about the little stamps after about a month.

I've seen this silverware in an upscale restaurant for years. Finally saw the owner & asked for details as to where to buy. She could order place settings for me but I decided to look on Amazon & surprise it was listed. Ordered it at once & love the style, weight, length & sturdiness of each piece. I'm extremely pleased with my purchase & received it quickly through Amazon. Plus it was packaged beautifully & was perfect when I unwrapped each piece. The only downside would be I can't find serving pieces.

I am a "flatware snob",no really I love a heavy weight beautiful transitional pattern I would use my flatware for a BBQ outdoors. I live a casual lifestyle it's not to impress others but it always does it's one of life's simple pleasures that I plan to pass on to my son.He likes the wt balance and pattern.That surprised me as he is a millennial 🥰.He enjoys quality so worth the money.I bought a set of four loved so much I quickly ordered a second set of 4 and serving pieces!Buy and enjoy for a lifetime

I don't think I've ever written a review this fast. This set is beautiful. The weight is nice, I love that it's 18/10 and the style is great with my modern plain white dishes. Almost too nice for everyday use but I'm going to use them for that anyway! They do have a logo stamp on them, which others have noted, but frankly, I think it looks kind of cool and I don't think it detracts from them at all. A very nice purchase and I might even have to get another set to round it out. Highly recommend.

I saw this flatware at a specialty cookware store in CA, and thought it was beautiful but expensive. I started looking around online to price shop and found this set at Amazon for a great price. Love the understated style and weight of the flatware. It's shiny and held up in the dishwasher. We use it everyday and for guests. I bought service for 8 but thinking about going back for 4 more. Very pleased with this purchase.

I usually do not review my purchases however, this Fortessa set of four place setting is no joke. I believe that the utensil strength and durability of the bistro 5 piece 18/10 highly polished silverware is among the finest quality. I searched for a long time for the perfect set that would not break the bank. This is the ultimate deal, a great value. I'm not sure yet of the product as far as the corrosion some have mentioned and will update this test review in the near future.Signed:Very pleased with Fortessa bistro flatware. Pros - Very sturdy. Could probably pull up the tile on our marble counter with the spoons. Weighty aka hefty. I like the heavy feel, but some may not. I read one review of someone getting fatigued while using heavier flatware. Really? If your hand / forearm gets fatigued eating, you're eating too much.Cons - Shipment came damaged (UPS' fault - surely, so I am not docking for this). Seller responded quickly but was unable to ship out the missing knife in a timely manner (issue I am also not docking for as Amazon stated a 1-2 month delay on shipping at the time).The real cons begin with the finish. First, this is 18/8.3 silverware not 18/10, but that's fine. I'd be surprised to find any silverware setting under $75 per that uses actual grade 305 stainless. That being said, the finish scratches SO EASILY. The wear was noticeable after three HAND washings using only a minimal amount of a non-lemon based soap and the soft side of the non-scratch (blue) sponge.Numerous nicks and poor finishing job on the components. The finishing job was just hands down lazy. These were not buffed properly nor finished properly. It looks like the plating process was done totally half-assed. Furthermore, albeit small, there is an obvious dent in the bottom of one of the forks. It appears to be a total failure, across the board, by the QA person on duty when this set was made, which doesn't bode well for those buying a set in the near future.Overall, if you are going to spend near $40 per setting (with shipping), look elsewhere. A middle grade Oneida or R&B set for similar, if not less money, will provide much more bang for the buck. Obviously you are not trying to buy top of the line if you're interested in this set / price range and that's fine, neither was I, but when I do it over again it will be for something either less money, so the flaws will be expected, or I will spend 50 - 100% more and guarantee satisfaction.Would I buy from this seller again? Absolutely. Would I buy this product or anything from this manufacturer again? Absolutely not.
