Gibraltar Mailboxes FM11 Franklin mailbox, Medium, Bronze

I hired a handy man to put it on the post and he was able to put it on in about ten minutes so it was easy for someone who knows what they are doing and had a drill/tool. It looks lovely. My old mailbox door had been broken for several years and the postman had to shove it into th box (it no longer had a handle). My mail stayed dry in the old mailbox. I haven't figured out the problem with this one yet, but sometimes my mail seems damp when it is raining. I'm not sure if it leaks or its the humidty. It's not just wet, but feels overall damp. Otherwise, it appears to be a very nice looking, sturdy, mailbox. We have only had rain a couple of times so will have to see how it does it wet, winter weather before I decide for sure if it will keep mail dry or not.

Sturdy design without doodads and curlicues. It just works as a residential mailbox!

One bag of concrete, one screwdriver, one pair of pliers and one afternoon is really all you need to install. I secured mine with paracord guylines while it set. It feels sturdy and looks great.

Arrived quickly and looks very nice.

Have to see after the first snow storm. My house is at the bottom of the hill at a cross section and the plow always pushes all the snow up against my mailbox which is rough on mailboxes 📬

We had trouble finding a traditional mailbox, made of metal and not too big. Couldn't believe how difficult that was. Most things were plastic, didn't stay shut well. This one is a keeper. Nice, substantial construction. Easy to install. We like the bronze and I am especially fond of the metal and RED flag.The magnetic closure and the handle on the mailbox are nice upgrades, but on our traditional cedar post, this mailbox has the right proportions and definitely feels good to open and close. It is basic,nothing flashy, but I appreciate the simplicity.

The mailbox is several notches below the quality of the architectural mailbox that will be replacing it. The metal is thinner and the edges are not dressed well and are very sharp. The box itself seems off-square so that before installation opening and closing the door involved a surprising amount of resistance. Most annoying is the finish quality: this is NOT a bronze color, which would imply a metallic paint finish. Instead it is simply painted in a medium brown color, and as delivered, the paint was scratched off in places. It's not bad for a cheap mailbox, but that's all it is.

Our mailbox was missing the magnet to keep the lid shut. When I contacted customer service, they immediately sent over not just one but two magnets to make sure we had what we needed to fix. The mailbox was impressed with how quicjly their customer service took care of the issue.
