Heavy Duty 7 Way Plug Inline Trailer Cord with 7 Gang Junction Box - 4 Feet, Weatherproof (4-Foot)

I used this product to replace my four wire boat trailer plug with a seven way plug so that I wouldn't need an adapter for my vehicles.The new seven wire plug was wired for traditional RV and NOT standard trailer.Instructions are not in the package! The wiring diagram is in this ad, so do yourself a favor and print them or screenshot them for ready reference when installing because I hooked up yellow to yellow (LH turn/brake), brown to brown (running lights), green to green (RH turn/brakes) and white to white (ground). When I plugged the new plug into my vehicle, one light came on. I quickly realized something was wrong.I grabbed a multimeter and used the Ohm function to figure out how the pins were wired and what color they used to wire their plug. I had three of the four wires I used connected to the wrong colors. Using my Ohm meter I was finally able to determine where the correct wires go. There were no instructions on the package. The wire diagram is in the ad, and I didn't see it until after all of this occurred.I've included a picture of how I connected my wiring.It works perfectly, now.

The media could not be loaded. I got this to replace the one that is currently installed on my trailer tongue….difference is; that it’s old & crusty….has been spliced into numerous times…& it’s been cut & extended to reach the vehicle.I believe this product will make install much easier along with making sure i get the performance needed to the correct areas on the trailer.Appears to be of really good thick plastic for the junction box & the 7 flat pin is non serviceable-which in my opinion is great!Keeps from tampering & making things worse-haha!

Product is well made and makes a clean connection between tow vehicle and the trailer, pay close attention to color code and wire function, the color code is not industry standard.No install instruction or color code diagram, mounting is straight forward, will need some electrical experience for wire connection.Easy install!

I’ve had mine installed for about two months now and it is working great. Make sure you use the pictures in the Amazon listing to make sure you are wiring it correctly on a standard trailer (the wires to do not match colors with standard trailer wiring). The brass pins on the 7pin connector are a little flimsy but I haven’t had any connection issues yet.

I purchased this cable initially a few years ago and installed it on my camper to replace a corroded and worn cable. I love the big junction box that allows you to wire stuff in with ease. I recently needed a new cable for my utility trailer and didn't hesitate to reorder.One pro tip: The color coding is incorrect and you'll have to figure out what color your trailer wires are and figure out what color the harness wires are. I found writing that out on paper takes the confusion out of it and makes it easy to wire up. I attached a photo cheat sheet if you're converting from a traditional 4-way plug off a small utility trailer.

Super clean look and easy to check wiring. These colors did not match my 7 way, but I knew that from the reviews. I verified the correct wiring and the terminal made it easy to change and test.I first crossed the left and right blinker. Less the 5 min to swap the yellow and green wires.Several weeks later, my back right light quit. It used the junctiong box to test if the connection to the truck was good. Yes, so I knew the light was the issue. Correct, the bulb was at fault.Worth it.Good value/not so good colors match = Good buy for me!

Great solid product. The block box is solid and appears to be water resistant, time will tell. The plug however is solid rubber and makes for a very TIGHT fit. We have do gently sand the plug down a little in order to fit easier in and out. Great product though, I think it will work great for replacing lights and wires on the trailer in the future.

Maybe its wired for the China trailer market but in the USA we have a wiring code we use. All the colors are there but they don't match the plug end. The only correct wire was the ground wire.

Parts came Broken, The Colour codes don't match any standard I can find so you have to meter it out to sort out what is what, the retainer for the main cable was busted off right out of the bag and there is a crack from the top cable inlet to the bottom, The Screws in it are cheap and want to cam out no matter what driver your use... on the truck end the spade grabbers seem to all be bent open rather than sprung closed like they should be... Buyer beware.
