I’ve never done gray scale coloring and its amazing. I chose this particular image for its simplicity so I can test it out and it was really easy to achieve the results I wanted. I did watch some videos online and got some pointers from that. I used coloring pencils and I’d love to see how markers will work.

These pictures are grayscale and fuzzy like a nice drawing and they look incredible when they are colored. If you tend to spend a lot of time shading your coloring pages and despairing over the heavy black outlines, this book is for you. If you want heavy black lines and one-dimensional shapes to fill in with color, there are plenty of those available elsewhere. This is a different sort of coloring that requires a different technique. Soft-core wax pencils work beautifully on these grayscale pages.

I love this book! It is my first grayscale & I’m so happy that I found a new medium of art. It takes patience, but that’s why it’s therapeutic right? The pictures are gorgeous! AND they send you a link with all kinds of helpful information. I WILL be a repeat customer, I can’t wait to get the “Witch” one. If you want a coloring book that will get you in the mood for Christmas— THIS IS YOUR BOOK!!

When I ordered this I was doubtful, but I'm so tired of the nonsensical kaleidoscope of adult coloring books. I wanted something new. First, the art work is gorgeous and not cartoons or silly. Second the grayscale gives amazing depth to your work. Its so great, it makes me look like I have real talent! Face it, the only thing that sucks at art more than me is a black hole. These pages are art and you add to it making art yourself. My biggest complaint is that I didn't happen on grayscale sooner! Give this a try, you will not be disappointed, unless you don't like beautiful results.

My wife and I ordered this book for our annual tradition of coloring Christmas pictures on Christmas morning. However, the pictures in this coloring book were both too dark and a bit blurry. That said, some of the pictures are very pretty, and if you are into dark gray scale coloring books, this might be your thing. Coloring with bright markers (not crayons) is a must with this book. It was just not what we were looking for.

I have no complaints about the scenes in this book, however, I purchased an adult coloring book. The problem, with this book, is the paper. The cover is great, but that is where the quality ends. The grayscale isn't done well but could have been made better by using a smooth paper. I have colored one other grayscale and was looking for the same great quality from this book. Different author. The book is The Baker's Dozen. The paper is very smooth. I gave three stars for effort by the author. I will say this, anyone able to produce a well colored book from these pages is due solely to the talent of that individual. The Baker's Dozen made it easy. Note: I also purchased a book by another author, Victorian Christmas, it is printed on the same bad, rough paper. Please post a few of your finished pages. I am looking at these books as a challenge to make them look good. The photo added is what grayscale color should look like. Not from this book.

I like most of the scenery pictures, others not so much. They are dark. They left me thinking that I could have downloaded similar creative commons pictures and used my image manipulation software to remove the color with similar results, but at least this way I'm not using up all my ink. They provided PDFs of pictures colored in, which I really needed. Some scenes are so complex they were a bit intimidating without that color guide. I'm still working on only the simpler pictures. My colored pencils work okay if I choose vibrant colors. I don't think you could get away with using standard crayons.

Most of the pics are to dark or blurry to color. I am addicted to adult coloring books and love most of the grayscaling, but this book the copies are bad. (To dark and blurry)

Brought this for my Sister as part of her Christmas Present and she absolutely loves it. Really pleased with my purchase and will be buying more for her birthday.

Don't like this as it's in greyscale very dark

Variety of images...everyone is just waiting to be coloured.Lots of people and cute animals and not just baubles!Love it.
