This was the exact thing we needed for an old bathroom window in our new house that was previously being held open by an old elastic band and putty can… surely there must be a better way, and this is it. Allows the window to be held opened in a fixed position so there’s so flapping around in the wind like before. Had to play around with how to configure it. There were no instructions to go by. We did end up putting a little bit of masking tape under the larger end because it was rattling a bit, which resolved it. I like that it can be adjusted to open the window different amounts. Seems really sturdy.

This works well. It holds the window open and makes it easy to slide it closed.

We have a unique situation with our current windows. We have old leaded glass on the outside and wood on the inside. The former owner screwed all the inside windows shut. (Garbage). We are slowly fixing them and we needed stays for the indoor windows. These are better than expected and absolutely can be used on in swing casement windows. Look at the photo for appropriate placement. Knob goes near the middle and hinge part near the side.

I really liked them after installed. We have arched windows where I applied them, so we found out that placing the base towards the corner does not always get the best result. These we played with and we able to find the perfect function for each arched window style. One drawback, the bar, when the window is closed, is not flush with the wall. Extra benefit, hang wet swimsuits to drip in the shower! We love them!

I bought 2 of the oil rubbed bronze color. Before we had even finished installing them the color had rubbed off (see picture), exposing a bright silver color.

This thing is excellent and easy to install. Solid brass bar too. Makes my greenhouse lid look very fancy!

I could not find these where I live and was pleased to find them here. I was most surprised at the high quality of material. For my own specific needs in a very tight space I was forced to grind down one side of the adjusting knob. I was pleasantly surprised to see it was solid brass all the way down and kept a polish as I ground. I expected some hollow or base metal below but solid. Recommended....One suggestions is it would help to have some sort of instructions included. Some steps must come before others and its not really obvious until you try it.
