This fits well and stays cold. I use an extra small pack to target a recessed area in front of shoulder. A velcro strip holding it in place sticks to this pack.

The instructions do not include any information about how long to freeze. I emailed the company for this info. Their response was also useless: “Depends on your freezer. A few hours”. Contrast this with info on competitor website:Place Gel Pack flat in freezer for at least 2 hours for the first time use (for repeat treatments place pack in freezer for 30 minutes). Remove cold Gel Pack from freezer and place in a towel before applying, to protect the skin from frostbite. Never apply cold therapy longer than 30 minutes at a time.However I did not expect this level of quality and attention to detail at its price point. all parts are very neatly and carefully assembled. no sharp corners anywhere, the outer bag is finished in a almost felt like material that's very soft. The liquid pack is made with pretty thick and solid material but the finish is smooth to the touch. It came with a semi transparent zip-lock style storage bag that's also very smooth to the touch. The pad is pretty big, so unless you are twice the size of normal people or above this should fit just fine.

I recently had arthroscopic surgery to repair multiple issues with my AC joint and labrum. I’ve been primarily using a Breg cooling unit when on the couch (circulates ice cold water with compression) and a folding ice pack when mobile. This is a game changer as a hybrid of the two.. Fits like a glove around the shoulder, adjustable, very cold, and lasts a long time. Relatively easy to put on and adjust. My entire shoulder (front, back, side) are numb and relaxed. Even comes with a ziploc storage bag to keep freezer food off the fabric. Highly recommended for anyone with shoulder pain.

The shoulder brace is well designed and fabricated with premium materials. The gel pack covers the entire shoulder and surrounding areas and is thick & flexible. It definitely works extremely well with plenty of cold temp. The assembly instruction are not clear, but in reality are not needed because all you need to do is to insert the gel pack into the brace (there is only one way) and slide in the straps into the four plastic brackets, just look at the picture that shows the proper location. the long strap goes at the top and the short at the bottom around the arm. In two times that I have used the cold for 20 minutes, I am already feeling almost well. Just fold and place in the freezer, the entire assembly and later it will be easy to place over the head and arm at the top, only adjusting the long strap and then slide the arm through the closed bottom strap. I am glad that I purchased it at a good price and will continue to use it as needed.

Because I was unsure which brand would be best for me, I ended up buying more than one type of these should ice packs. This product was not the best of the ones I tried. It doesn't fit well and is harder to put on by oneself than other products of this type.

I was recently diagnosed with Adhesive Capsulitis (Frozen Shoulder) and Rotator Cuff Tendinitis. When going to physical therapy for several weeks, the therapist would put a shoulder ice pack on my right shoulder. It was the best part of the therapy session. My therapist told me he bought it on Amazon. This product is unbelievable. It is easy to put the ice pack in the cover as well as attaching the straps and just slip it over your head. Its that easy. I use it at least once if not sometimes twice a day. I would highly recommend this shoulder ice pack to anyone that has pain in their shoulder, shoulder blade, upper chest area or upper arm. This product can be used for either shoulder. While I'm typing this review, I am actually wearing it. Such good relief from pain and it stays in place.

"So far the wrap is working very well with regards to the overall coverage and comfort it is bringing. However, if I could make any changes to the product design, it would be to change the attachment of the straps to the outer section. Having to remove the straps in order to then remove the ice/heat pack with each use, is a tad frustrating. Also I would offer a wider body strap, with perhaps a bit firmer cushion panel. Being a large person the current strap is bunching at my side (into my fat fold..lol ) even with the little pad provided. I think my suggestion would provide a more secure feeling to the user, as well as provide more awareness to posture while using.It is a bit of a challenge to put on and off . My shoulder issues are mild compared to other people's. It seems it might be a REAL pain for more seriously injured people to get on. But once it is on...it is very helpful in my opinion. "I would also like to say that by designing the straps to connect to the outer layer, it would not subject the plastic loops to the constant change in temps ... going from hot to cold, surely can't be good for the life span of those loops. This would also allow you to offer the consumer replacement gel inserts (so they may have one used solely for heat application and one solely for cold application (something you really should offer , regardless of any redesign changes!! )"

This ice pack is the perfect way to ice my shoulder. It’s easy to put on and the material of both the ice pack and the material cover are good quality.
