WATCH THE INSTALLATION VIDEO
I've installed numerous toilet seats and assumed I knew what I was doing (not the case here though). This seat is built for safety so it is a bit more complicated than others. I initially reversed the direction of the lid screws and the seat wouldn't lay flat so I knew I needed to start over. No, the instructions are not great but if I had watched the video a few times, laid out the parts and taken my time to follow the video carefully, I would have been fine. It's a very nice seat once it's installed properly. (See detailed pictures attached.) Note to Centoco: PLEASE make a "biscuit" colored version of this.

Great Concept but Needs Some Tweaking
I was ecstatic when this arrived. It was beautifully designed and very well made, with a solidly constructed flat rim seat for a smooth transfer from a wheelchair. The hinges had metal bolts set inside a rock solid compound that looks like pristine white plastic but feels like lead. Them thar hinges ain't goin' nowhere. Best of all, the two front feet under the rim each had a lip going down into the bowl that should secure the rim to the bowl, preventing any lateral movement of the rim. The design was so perfect for our needs, I thought it must have came out of my own head. Modesty is overrated.I was devastated when I tried to install it, because it appeared as if the bolts would not fit into the holes on the bowl. I was about to return it when I read a review that criticized the so-called "instructions." Sure enough, if you stand the ring on end, the bolts widen and go into the bowl's holes. I would not have described "on end" as an "upright" position, since every seat I've ever bought has installed in the a-righted closed position. Now I had hope again. As it goes, our bowl is flat from front to back, but this seat is designed for a slight elevation where the bolts go in. For this event, they provided big optional risers for the bolts. Unfortunately, these are not made of the rock solid compound and do not secure as solidly as a person needs when scooting from a chair to a toilet. I was afraid that over-tightening could split them. I installed anyway. Now, on account of the risers, the two back feet under the rim don't make contact with the bowl at all. I tried to wobble the ring. It wobbled a bit but maybe it will work, at least until the risers wear out.Next, remember the two front feet under the rim, each with a lip going down into the bowl? Ingenious! I thought. They should lend security and stability. Well, guess what! They don't make contact with the bowl at all. In fact, they are a good half inch from touching the bowl. So much for ingenious. As for that nice flat ring: In theory, it look ideal for transferring, but it is literally a pain in the... thighs. It hurts to sit. When my charge gets home, we'll see whether or not this is going to work. Frankly, if it doesn't, I don't know what else to do. The ideal height for transferring from most wheelchairs is 19". Todays so-called ADA toilet bowls are only topping 16.5". With a lid, you're doing well to get 17.25" off the floor. We are lucky to have the rare 17" high bowls. The 2 inch riser puts the final height at almost exactly 19". If this doesn't work, I'm doomed, I say... Doomed!

Very sturdy
This is an excellent raised seat once it is installed. The lift is enough to get the seat in the 17" to 20" range allowing easy on and off for most people.I put this on a one-piece 17" seat to get a 19" height.Once installed, it is very stable and requires much less maintenance.Another nice item is it isn't recognizable as a special seat.Installation was a job! I had to figure out the configuration for my toilet first. After that, I had to install the seat. This is the first seat that did not have top screws to tighten. You have to work with nuts below the toilet making extra work. However, this is an excellent seat and the extra effort is worthwhile.

OVER PRICED BUT
First of all the bolts would not line up with the holes on my toilet so I had to put them in my vice and bent them outward to line up with my toilet seat mounting holes. The seat is nice and good quality but for $100 you would think it would be a slow close like a $30 seat would be. Instructions are laughably bad but its not that hard to figure out the installation of it. Overpriced for what it is but if I really needed another one like it then yes I would be stuck paying this again.UPDATE 12-13-2020 This seat is truly a blessing. The 3 inch extra hight makes it so much easier to get up off the toilet after use. Be advised that you will need a "urine deflector" for this seat because you could easily "P" between the 3 inch gap over the original toilet.

Not 2” lift
This toilet seat says it has a 2” lift. A 2” lift would lift the seat up 2”! This seat is 2” from the toilet rim to the top of the seat lid! That’s only a 1” lift, not 2!!!
