First-Year Composition: From Theory to Practice (Lauer Series in Rhetoric and Composition)

Half the essays are excellent for new and old composition teachers. The rest, esp. those written by some big names, are too vague to be of use to anyone.

This is a must-have for anyone teaching composition or studying composition pedagogy. This was a "recommended" text in one of my grad courses this semester, and I'm very glad I purchased it.

This is a wonderful resource by some very influential members of the composition community. I highly recommend it to anyone teaching an FYC course.
