This was the best Amazon experience. I am a huge Ebay buyer...Huge. i bought several things from Amazon over a year ago and the whole thing was a mess, not only did the total $$ get taken out of my account (which of course I gotta pay for my stuff) but they took that same amount out twice. Yup twice. Was negative in my account etc. It was my 1st time using Amazon and it was a nightmare. So, anyway, i saw these valances and I just had to have them and of course Ebay didn't have em. So i took a chance. This was the best experience. Only charged ONCE and the delivery was as described, the product is what I like to call Traditional. Why u ask, because things made back in the day were of perfect quality, strong durable and of beauty. After some of the reviews by others i was worried about the rod size, but again I'm happy, i have a large homemade wooden rod bout 2in and its perfect. So the point after this exhausting story......THANK YOU! Whether i buy from amazon again is still questionable but it's at least a maybe now....

I used it this past Christmas. The window is behind the Christmas tree and next to the fireplace, so that whole area has decorations. This valance just topped it off and I was very happy to have purchased it before the season got started. I ranked the quality and durability of the fabric at 4 instead of 5 because the gold bottom fringe had pulled out in a couple of places and I had to hand stitch it back. You wouldn't know it, but I don't like getting something new that already has a problem that I have to repair. And, as with most things ordered online, the return and reorder hassle and cost isn't worth it. I would order the product again, though, if I had another window it would work with because it really is a nice item. Except for the damaged fringe. Next one might have been perfect.
