Q: Does anyone have experience attaching the bottle to something other than a dog crate? I'm trying to picture how I would do that.

The long 10 inch bracket goes on outside of what you are attaching your water bottle to. The 2 smaller 2 1/4 by 1 1/4 brackets go on the inside of what mounting bottle to.

Q: what size of tube comes with the glass bottle? i want to use it for a guinea pig, not a dog/rabbit/bird.

I have this set up for 3 different types of birds with the smallest being parakeets. I like the medium sized stopper (that is the one in the bottle). The stopper next to it is the small sized one which I didn’t like even with use by parakeets which are small. The large sized stopper which I bought by mistake but sent back was to big for my use but feel would be good for any size dog or rabbit. I think medium would be good for anything smaller including mice and hamsters. I think mice and hamsters would be the only things that cold use small stoppers but I personally would still use medium for them.

Q: Once in place, how easy is it to remove bottle for frequent filling and washing? Thanks

Very easy! The part connected to a crate stays there, but the bottle is easily removed by just slipping the top metal holder up and pulling the bottle out. We probably re-fill and re-wash ours every few days.

Q: Does anyone have a dog that is a big chewer? How durable is this?

Never used it for dogs, but if it can stand up to my big blue and gold Macaw, I don't think any dog can inflict any more damage. The only thing would be if they pull the spout out of the bottle.
