The Phantom of the Opera: Instrumental Solos for Cello

My son is in beginners orchestra in middle school and this is a little too advanced for him. Hopefully he'll be able to play it next year.

Loved this music! Highly recommend for intermediate cello. Challenging enough to be engaging and hear the melody.

This is a great intermediate cello book. I was a little bit disappointed that it didn’t come with the audio accompaniment tracks, but the arrangements are appropriate for the level and include a good chunk of the melody.

As a very beginning cellist, I am working hard with this book. I loved the play and the CD, now I'm trying to learn to play it on the cello. I know with practice I'll get better.

This book is great if you want to hone your cello skills to something fun and that sounds familiar, especially if you love Phantom. Just take heed, this is not a score, by any means. There are errors, but they are apparent until you hear the correct version straight from a real score. I was pleased with the songs, nothing I wanted was missing. In general, it is a pretty easy book; I learned "Music of the Night", after about a month of lessons, but was not ready for the rest yet. I look forward to tackling more of the songs, as my skills with the cello increase!

Someone wanted me to play “All I ask of you” for their wedding. This book has very basic arrangements of all the pieces from this musical. I’ll be using it (with some embellishments). Worth the $

ほとんどの曲は弾きやすいように簡単な調に編曲してあります。ソロ譜ということで、伴奏譜などは付いていません。スローテンポの曲が多いのもあってか、わりと易しめの楽譜です。チェロを始めて3年半の私でもすぐにさらうことができました。この曲目の多さ素晴らしいと思います！ただ、スラーがあまりついていない編曲なのが少し残念ですが、自分で好きなように付けることができると考えれば利点と言えるのでしょうか。総合的には気に入っています(^ω^)
