PUPPET MASTER: THE LITTLEST REICH

It's OK if you like Gore, but as a huge fan of the original series, I was very disappointed. The classic puppets aren't as cool. Then multiple versions of each puppet.There were new puppets that just fell flat for me. Old favorites were MIA.Didn't like the story line at all. They *fought* the Nazis in half the movies, now they're Nazi racists?Yeah. Really kind of hated it. Toulon at the end.. Wtf...I'm really surprised Charles Band put his name on it.Wide open for the sequel. Please make it more like the old series, or I won't be watching .💖Missed my Jester...

I enjoy the original Puppet Master movies. Obviously, they vary wildly in quality (with the newer ones being rather bad). But overall I have a fondness for the series. I wasn't sure what the reboot would offer, but I went in with an open mind. I really liked the gore and violence (though admittedly, some of the effects looked extremely fake. It was sort of a mixed bag when it came to realism). Thankfully, the characters weren't a bunch of dopey, annoying teens. Some of the characters were even likable!!! That's a huge plus! I wish more horror films were like this in that regard. If I were to criticize anything, I'd say the old rebooted puppets looked awesome... but the newly created puppets were ridiculous. For example, New-Blade was great... but "Junior Fuhrer" felt like a Demonic Toys reject. The comedy was hit and miss, but that's to be expected. I laughed a few times (and I'm someone who typically dislikes comedy mixed into my horror films). In the end, I was happy, and if they make a sequel I'll definitely watch it. 4-stars.

I was really excited about this reboot. I have the comics, toys, replicas, and more from the original Puppet Master franchise. I could not wait for a new series.Barbara Crampton( Re-animator, Castle Freak) as a supporting part as a police office and has a good amount of screen time. She is always great in her parts. Likewise, Udo Kier( Cigarette Burns) proved to be wonderful in this evil take of Andre Toulon. Kier has a gift if playing villains and the film would have benefited by giving him some more scenes.Now, the special effects were pretty good. There was a lot of blood and action. Unfortunately, the script was lacking. People are killed with no impact to the story. It is nothing but gory special effects and blood splatter. The puppets do not have enough time to reveal any type of charm or personality. They simple kill and move on to the next victim.The score was nice. Fabio Frizzi (Zombi2) does a good job providing a rather creepy music. It certainly was one of the better things about the film.I have no problems with the puppets being villains or changing Toulon's backstory. It is a reboot, so it is nice to have a different story. But I would have liked more of a story. Some more character development or atmosphere would have helped the film but we have just a whole bunch of gore effects.There are some extras such as an interview with the cast and designing the puppets. The DVD has closed captioning.

The backstory they hinted at during the well-done opening credits would have been awesome compared to the no existent story that was on screen. Pointless storylines... horribly acted characters and decent but poorly shot makeup effects. If you are looking for cheap gore fx then yes you will like it If you are looking for a well writen story with interesting characters or even decent puppet effects look elswhere.

The bad reviews on this... Guys it's a movie about puppets that murder people.I know it's hard not to compare but also... this is better? I mean I was disappointed we didn't see a redesigned Six Shooter, but like. It's fine. He wasn't in the first movie, anyway.Toulon and his puppets make more sense as villains. The way the old franchise woobifies the puppets over the course of the films is groan-worthy. At least here, they're disturbing. You aren't supposed to want to collect and cuddle them (A girl literally carries Pinhead around like a doll in Curse of Puppet Master.) You're supposed to be afraid of them.As for the gore. If this is too gory for you, you should probably drink your milk and go to bed. It's a movie bout nazi murder puppets.Also it has Barbara Crampton in it. Bonus.

I really enjoyed Fangoria's reboot of the Full Moon franchise. It's far better than the last several entries into the series. Very nasty kills in this one and a great variety of puppets. I also enjoyed the cast with genre vets Udo Kier, Barbara Crampton, and Michael Pare. Thomas McKinnon (Reno 911)plays the lead, a comic book shop owner /artist. The movie isn't perfect by any means (Would like to see the puppets return to stop motion animation like the first three entries, but oh well)

I've enjoyed the series up to now. the reboot is not to my liking the puppets have alway been for good even when they went off coarse a few times but centered by the end. this one made them vicious and nasty it'd been fine if id not seen and like the originals.

Muy mala película esperaba que al ser actualizada la saga, la trama fuera mejorada.Parece un film mas abajo de la clase de tipo B. Malos efectos, mal guión, música x. Todo es un chiste. Si eres muy fan de la franquicia te recomiendo que te quedes con las películas de antes.

...film della Saga (infinita) di Puppet Master.Questo capitolo è abbastanza interessante rispetto alle ultime uscite.Ottima qualità audio/video per questo BluRay con alcuni Extra interessanti.Solo in lingua Inglese, niente Italiano.Consigliato ai fan della serie ma anche a tutti gli altri indistintamente...

this is a good puppetmaster movie. Not the best in the series it was fun really good practical affects. Good Goore likable characters. One of the most brutal death movie. I've seen a while I'm not gonna say what it is one of my biggest complaint. Is the ending I'm not going to say what it is that would spoil a movie. What if you like horror movies or the puppetmaster movies you might like this one
