This reads like a dissertation. I had to read it for a graduate school course. It was painful. Tiny type, and very wordy. Pick something else.

May very well be the worst textbook I've ever read. Donald Hislop doesn't do much other than reference everyone else's work. There isn't a page in here without at least 3-4 references. I don't think he has an original thought. The book is extremely difficult to read due to the ridiculous quantity of references and it comes across as a philosophical study. I learned more from Wiki than I did this book as Wiki actually teaches tangible content.
