Tough 1 Professional Leather with Cotton Web Training Surcingle

Three stars for poor quality. Otherwise works well enough. The girth is very poor. Can't use it at all.

It's not the highest quality thing, but for light lunging and use with the Equiband System it would have been fine. HOWEVER, I have a 17.2 Thoroughbred gelding. He's a jumper with a deep chest. He wears an 82" blanket. Big dude. Even on the tightest hole, this thing was 6 inches too big. I double checked the listing to see if it was for a draught horse or something. Nope. It's comical how freaking huge the thing is. Because I need a a surcingle now and everyone else reputable has them backordered, I'm going to hit the sewing machine and alter it to work.

I love this! I've used it a few times and I really can't complain. Great to have around for training. Seems like it will hold up pretty well

Although the roller buckles are great and the various rings are in generally good places (really like the standing rings for lines), the quality of the leather used on this surcingle is very low. But perhaps my biggest complaint (and my horse's) is the design itself. The junction between the padded portion of the saddle and the unpadded side extensions creates sharp points that poked into my horse. The padded portion twists a bit, too, really making the corners jab. When I tried it on my horse he immediately swung his head around and was a bit agitated. He didn't do that with a more solid leather surcingle I had been borrowing and doesn't do it with his riding saddle. I'd say avoid this surcingle because of the poor design.

Well made and economical. I only wish it had a lot set of rings.

Works really well, have a hole punch handy though since the holes are very tiny. Fits my 16.2 hand paint mare

Bonne qualité! Les coutures sont solides, les anneaux sont bien aussi, convient très bien a mon cheval qui a un garrot fragile. Par contre il est arrivé vert, et non brun comme sur la photo.

No mention of size in add but when it arrived it was tagged XL - large enough for a good sized draught.
