Powell Carina Accent Chair

I found this chair on a different popular website that had a lot of reviews, but Amazon was cheaper. Based on those reviews, I wasn't hesitant about buying. A few commented on the deep seat as a bad thing, but I like the super big seat. Leaves room for throw pillows, which you really need. To show you the size, I'm including a picture with a normal throw pillow so you can see how big the seat is in comparison. I'm 5'4" and sitting so my feet hit the floor leaves about 4"+ to the back. I didn't buy these chairs to sit and read a book for a few hours. They are accent chairs and look very nice. I bought two. They arrived earlier than the date given, in two days. They are not difficult to put together. It's like anything else. There are 12 screws. The instructions are clear. The packaging was excellent so I can't figure out how one of the arms arrived cracked so bad it was nearly in two pieces. I sent an email asking for a replacement arm and I was given the option of a new chair or a partial refund. I decided to try wood glue so I didn't have to deal with repackaging the entire chair that I had nearly finished putting together. Still early, so I don't how long that will last, but for now I'm very satisfied with the customer service. I reduced a star because for one of the first times ever, the photo online doesn't match the colors. I'm including a picture of the fabric close up. To me, on the screen, the colors are not so bold. What looks tan on the screen, was more gold in real life. The nice ruby red on the screen is more lipstick red. The chair is beautiful, its just not what I was expecting. And it's not Amazon. The colors look the same on both websites. I like that the back has matching fabric. Overall, for the price, I would definitely recommend the chairs. Just beware of the size of the seat and the richness of the colors.

This chair is beautiful! I don't understand why people are saying the patterns aren't vibrant; I think the fabric is perfect. The chair is more like a throne than an armchair to be honest. If you want to be perfectly comfortable, I'd recommend a sturdy pillow for your back. If you're shorter, I'd recommend a footstool as well. You can't get a better or prettier chair for this price; it's amazing!

I ended up buying 3 of these chairs. They are sturdy, colorful, and a good width and depth. These go together well (after I realized that B & C screws are slightly different in size, and I had to start the first one over., my mistake). The arms are strong for my disabled guests to push up out of. Chairs are solid and not wobbly. So very happy with them.

Gorgeous chair! The seat is very wide. If you are under 5'8' or so, your feet will not be able to touch the ground if you are sitting up straight and against the the back of the chair. The padding on the chair is sufficient enough to be comfortable but in no way is this chair the curl up and read in it all day kind. For a formal area that needs a little color, this is perfect.

It’s a lovely chair. Exactly the extra piece I was needing. Much bigger than I thought it would be, but still fits in the room just fine.

These chairs are rich looking and easy to assemble. The colors in the pattern are dark and muted, so will fit in with any color scheme. The seats are deep, so be aware of measurements. These are not chairs to curl up in and read, but great for guests/conversation areas.

Absolutely stunning chair in person! Beautiful fabric and stain. Deep sit. Sturdy.Unfortunately, the chair is not very comfortable, but I bought this for looks over use so it works perfectly for what I intended. One of my chair arms was a little scratched when I got it, so I docked a star. But it isn't blazingly noticeable so not worth the return.Overall, would buy again.
