Thai is a great book on Celtic shamanism. Third time I’ve bought one. Don’t loan it out. You may not see it again.

I am absolutely happy with my book. Having ordered it in the middle of winter I was concerned about water damage. I thought that it was really thoughtful of the seller to put the book in a plastic sleeve to help protect it. 5 stars.

Incredible read can't recommend it enough for those wishing to learn more about our connection with the Earth

An interesting book of what’s involved in become a shaman. If contemplating becoming a shaman, it is a must read. Shamanic meditations are very sensorily oriented. Rather than cutting oneself off from sensations, the shamanic mediation involves using all the senses going on a shamanic meditative journey. A shamanic meditative journey is significantly different from a shamanic journey. A shamanic meditative journey gives one a significant amount of insight into one’s spiritual state and likely will reveal areas where one could improve. Insight as to how to improve prayers for healing of oneself and others can often be revealed. It has an excellent chapter on developing the concept of oneness with all things include the universe and with all sentient beings throughout the universe. It heightens one’s sensitivity to another’s soul, including the soul’s of animals. An awareness of a connectedness with all things is heightened. An almost stellar awareness of the power of love, compassion and understanding can be experienced with feeling for things seen and unseen. If you are interested having a spiritual awakening, this book is well worth reading.

This is probably my favorite introduction into shamanism. If you're into European shamanism (Celtic), instead of Native American shamanism, this book is for you. I'm about 3/4 through it. There are numerous exercises, and one can adapt this to their specific area of interest. A little truth is found in all areas.

Personally I found this book very informative very helpful and the writing flows well I was not bord to tears some writers tend to get a bit long winded and preachy dj conway keeps things simple and effective

Me parece un poco fuerte, de que una autora como DJ COnway pueda escribir un libro así. No tiene ningún tipo de calidad literaria, y mucho menos si ya entiendes del tema. Señora Conway, me nutres mucho con tu sabiduría, leer tus libros puede convertirse una lectura realmente mágica, pero, otra vez, haga el favor asus seguidores, de esforzarse un poco más. I'm going to hang on it, because at the end of the book has a big glossary of gods, goddesses and corespondences with celtic world, but it's better the other book of DJ Conway: Celtic Magic. It's very heavy, that an author like DJ Conway could write a book like this. It doesn't have any kind of literay quallity and much less if you understand of the subject. Miss Conway... you nourish me a lot with you wisdom, read your books can turn a really magic reading, but, in other time, make the favour to your followers, to stribe you a litte bit more... With love and light...

Highly recommend this book. Very informative, in fact it's jam packed of information. Was pleased to discover that some of the practices mentioned in this book I've been doing intuitively. The author comes across as warm, knowing and it's a delight to read and return to.

For decades I have had difficulty to explain and properly describe my spiritual path and beliefs to others. It has always been a hurdle to say "Well, it's pagan, but not Wiccan, it's earthly organic, but not structurally rigid." I always knew that religion did not work for me, but my soul always craved spirituality. Thanks in great part to this book, I am now able to use the proper words in order to describe what my spiritual interest is; Celtic Shamanism. There are very few books these days that could be considered a "How To". The amount of information that needs to be covered in order to explain such a complexe subject would be astronomical, yet, the author has found a way by using clever tools and organized yet easily flowing themes to dive deep into the understand of the matter; personal test (series of questions to ponder), diagrams, historical and cultural comparative data, lists of words and glossaries. This book is a treasure for all readers that wish to understand why and how this specific spirituality spread across Europe in the first place and how it became the basis for the understanding of the natural world (and its yearly cycle). This natural spirituality worked for thousands of years. At the end of the read, the reader can acquire great information and leaves the reader asking two questions; if it made so much sense why did it disappear in the first place and why is it not the basis of home spirituality for everyone dealing with these modern day natural issues. A great read and a proud addition to your home library.

Within this book a bridge is created between the modern and the Celtic spirit. A must read for an aspiring Shaman.
