Linon Carlton Padded Bench, 44.5"W x 17"D x 30"H, Black

My family has been very happy with this bench. My husband had no issues putting it together. It looks great. The quality is good for the price. The only thing cheaply made is the wood bottom for the bench under the storage cabinet. We store our kids shoes in the storage compartment. we have four kids and it's totally filled with shoes but it still supports the weight fine even though it's a very thin piece of wood so this still received 5 stars.

Very easy to put together. It took maybe 15 minutes to assemble.It came well wrapped and protected in the box. Each piece had its own wrapping to prevent scratches from pieces sliding against each other.There were no missing pieces, although the hardware packages had the wrong letters on them (ie. Screws that were supposed to be labeled as "B" were labeled as "D" and what was to be labeled "D" was labeled as "F" and there was no F in the manual), not really a big deal.It's a very sturdy feeling bench to sit on. Does not wobble on a level floor.The only thing I would change is a thicker piece of wood for the bottom inside of the storage area. Its a little thin and flimsy.Overall, good price for what you get and it looks great.

A little tricky on the assembly and not super heavy duty so not sure how long it will last. However it looks great and will serve the purpose of hiding shoes in the porch.

Cute little bench with nice storage. I just put a bunch of toys in there and it holds up really well! Perfect little clean up to get rid of some clutter for a little! Was also really easy to put together.

It is as pictured. The seat pad is not attached which I thought it would be but that’s ok. That just means I can change or replace if needed. It is not as deep as the seat though. I suppose this is to allow for room when opening the lid but if it’s not attached it could have been the same size and you just remove it when opening the lid. The bottom of the storage space is VERY flimsy. I don’t think it will hold much weight say several pairs of shoes or winter boots and I think the bottom will sag down. It was OK to put together because my handyman hubby had tools other than the tool given which made it sooo much faster. It will take quite a while to assemble if you use the tool given. The holes for the hinges were not drilled correctly and the center hinge/spring to hold the lid up , once attached, prevented it from closing completely. So we took it off. We suggest putting the seat on before the back as the instructions advise because with the back on, you cannot open the seat up enough to to get a screwdriver in to tighten the bolts of the hinges. It does feel sturdy. The finish was nice, no scratches or marks . Didn’t exactly go together without a few gaps in the sides but it will be OK for the minimal use it will receive. I think it would be fine for adult use but if it had a lot of high energy children using it, it may not last that long. For our adult home it will be fine

Love the way this looks in our front entryway. My husband had to re drill holes are the weren’t correct. The cushion kinda slides a little otherwise it’s great. It’s not as sturdy as I had envisioned but it will work. The bottom of the storage is just cardboard. I was hoping for a little more so keep that in minds it might not hold heavy items... definitely don’t think it will hold the weight of boots well without caving in.

Let me start with the obvious. Paint didn't cover the many flaws of the constructed parts including chipped paint in the joints. It appears to be made of solid wood with a thin hardboard bottom. Now for the biggest nightmare; the parts didn't match up because the locator dowels were in the wrong location and the center dimension of the predrilled holes were somewhat off between the mating parts. After my analysis, I concluded and performed the following action: remove the dowels, and because the holes were so sloppy, I was able to work the parts into position. I'll end with this - the assembly method sucks.

This fills our standard front closet entryway well. Compared to other benches I was looking at across amazon this had the best height to fill the space. There is a medium sized storage compartment in the chair. The cushion is pretty cheap and slides around on the top of the bench. I plan on getting some kind of double sided tape to stick it down. Assembly was a bit frustrating but the instructions were straightforward. It's just awkward how you have to balance some of the pieces during assembly.
