I use mine on top of a glass desk to protect the surface underneath, and it works perfectly.The mat is the ideal size for various projects, and its extra-thick construction ensures durability. I made the mistake of using my heat gun near my old shelf healing cutting mat and needed a replacement. I decided to order this one after reading many reviews. This cutting mat works great and is a fantastic size. I appreciate the print on one side and the grid on the other. It lays flat and protects my work surface. Very happy with this purchase.

For starters, I got this at a fantastic price, I have been waiting to buy a larger self healing mat for awhile and struggled to find any at this price point by any manufacturer in 18 x 24. The grid side is like a charcoal grey and has highlighted grid lines at the 12” high and 12” across spot, as shown in photos.The mat is brand new and shipped properly in an oversized box so it didn’t bend. It’s not dirty at all like some of the older reviews stated. The “front” side matches my mint green cricut (and mint room) perfectly! I can’t wait to see it in use for my sewing and cricuting projects. It’s a great weight and thickness & seems like it will be around a long time.I am super glad I read all the reviews and took a chance that the bad batch was gone, it seemed like they were all from 2020, I’m a happy camper!

I am using it as a desk mat, since I do a lot of cutting for my bullet journal. I did cut it in half, so I have two and it still looks beautiful. It works great and protects my desk and I can't tell I have cut anything on the design. Works great!
